Even for pre school??

I didn't realize that was meant.

The general rule for enrollment in a public preschool is would be you need to reside in the district. Residing in the US is counter to the purposes of a B-2 visa.

As for a private preschool, I'm uncertain myself, sorry.

Thank you anyways.  I will consider that. She is only 4 so actually school is not a big deal it’s just being away from her dad.

@Jaz & JP  Praying for you. That is ridiculous. I hope you hear for the interview date soon.

Congress office Emailed us back about what NBC said... same thing for 3rd time...

Adaption based I130 petitions are processed at that NBC in the order in which they were received. Due to the nature of these types of applications, we are unable to provide an approximate timeframe of the review and these cases do not have posted processing time listed on our website. However, we assure you that this case will be adjudicated as quickly as available resources allow.

It has been almost 13months for us.  @inneedofmyhb my husband also did the request for ombudsman.  Thank you for the advice. I will keep you posted.

we are also thinking for applying for B2 visa while we wait for this so that my daughter can go to school from next semester... and come back to our country for her interview and medical. ..

You're so very welcome. What @geowrian said above, is correct. It would be violating immigration status. Not worth it. Hopefully someone will get back to you! In my thoughts...🙏🏼🙏🏼

Reading all the post here is really killing me. I’m still waiting to get I-130 approval. We have sent the second e request for case outside normal processing time and still nothing. This whole delay and being away this long from my husband is really bad. Why is NBC like this with cases?

I know right. This is really frustrating and what’s worth is we don’t know the timeline. I check the app all the time but seems like No one is getting approved for I 130 this month yet.

@Ayako...Nothing... I called USCIS today... said there nothing else to do than to wait for an interview to get scheduled.  My file is no longer at the NBC it was transferred to the Denver Immigration office since 03/18/2019.  I asked if there was a deadline to when i might hear back from them, and she they said no.  I explained to her that the Denver Immigration office has had my file for over 6 months ago and said to try be "patient".

What about you....anything new?

Hope to hear from them soon.  Praying for you too...  Anyone else in NBC??? How are you doing ppl????

It does seem like they’re not working at all.

I got a response to my second service request saying

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner.
I think this is just like an automatic response they send to everyone who file outside normal processing time request.
This delay for no reason is killing me.

@MercyDom I got exactly same Email about a month ago.  So sad. Nothing is helping but just wait.

I would have hoped you would have been approved by now. :( I really hope ombudsman helps you guys. From what I heard, nbc is backed up because what usually happens is since they are the main service center. Several cases are transferred to them and then they transfer them off to other service centers. If all service centers are overloaded they will just hold onto cases until they get the okay to forward off. But when you sit there and see cases being approved after your priority date, it makes no sense at all. I am so sorry friend and I hope this moves faster. I am stuck at NVC right now waiting for them to give me case complete on all documents we submitted and to schedule our embassy interview. He won’t be stepping foot in the US until next year :( I’m just grateful I will get to see him when I go for the interview. This month is 1 year that we haven’t seen each other. It’s been the biggest struggle of my life. I just try and keep the faith and know eventually it will all end, you do the same. We will look back and come out if this stronger than ever. Keep me updated please.

Just wondering if anyone got RFE and how long it might take to get approval after response to RFE.

its been 22 days now since we responded to the RFE.

Has anyone gone through anything similar and how soon soon did they get approved?

@inneedofmyhb That makes sense...seems like nobody is getting any approval notice since you got approved. Seems like NBC is totally stopped working.  We sent a letter to a ombudsman last week so I will keep you updated. I hope your interview day comes soon  and you can reunited to your husband sooner. One year is such a long time that you can't see each other. but I know you are almost there. praying for you too!!
