I wonder if both of your cases will be transferred to local office like mine did from NBC??? I’ve been told that this is quite normal recently because if the backlogs. Especially coming from NBC. I don’t know what to think anymore...my brain is literally gone. Praying for us all!

Well for us we are still waiting.  Got a hold of the USCIS again said that the file has been in our local office since March 2019 and that we are in line for an interview.  You would think that 6 months is good enough time to get an appointment set but still nothing.  I've contacted my attorneys office and the congressman and both have said that they cannot do anything for us but just wait for hear back from our local office.

I talked to a person at USCIS and was told that my local office has had my file since March 18, 2019.  I dont understand why they need more than 6 month to just get me an appointment.  I've talked to my attorneys office and the congressman and they say there is nothing else they can do.

Unfortunately no, there isn’t anything you can do at this point but wait. Just have everything ready for the interview. All the evidence you have of your bonafide marriage. It’s honestly the only reason they would be interviewing you at this point. Maybe now that they’ve responded to the inquiry from congress, they will schedule your interview. You just have to take some deep breaths and know that in the end, it will all have been worth it. And I know those are only words, but coming from me and the experience I’ve had through this, I totally get it. It’s hard when it is out of your control and there’s nothing you can do. I send you all the positive vibes I have. Just keep me updated. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

@Jaz & JP  Praying for you. That is ridiculous. I hope you hear for the interview date soon.

Congress office Emailed us back about what NBC said... same thing for 3rd time...

Adaption based I130 petitions are processed at that NBC in the order in which they were received. Due to the nature of these types of applications, we are unable to provide an approximate timeframe of the review and these cases do not have posted processing time listed on our website. However, we assure you that this case will be adjudicated as quickly as available resources allow.

It has been almost 13months for us.  @inneedofmyhb my husband also did the request for ombudsman.  Thank you for the advice. I will keep you posted.

we are also thinking for applying for B2 visa while we wait for this so that my daughter can go to school from next semester... and come back to our country for her interview and medical. ..

A B-2 does not permit enrollment in school.

They cannot deny a child from enrolling, but it would be a violation of status to do so.
