Question:

We have an attorney processing our I-130 application. He filed in early Aug. 2018 and our file was currently at the Potomac Office. When he filed the application he didn't submit a lot of evidence showing bona fide marriage/relationship other than my plane ticket when we got married. Back in early Feb. 2019 we got a letter stating that our file was transferred to the National Benefit Center. It's been over 7 months now and still no response. Wondering if the delay is because he did not submit enough bona fide evidence? Anyone that might have an idea?

Thank you.

Have you heard anything since then? My daughter’s (adopted) I 130 has been in NBC since August 26th and silence since then. It is very very frustrating not knowing the processing time!!

Hi Ayako2019.....

I have not heard anything yet.  I went ahead and contacted the Senator from my state, which they have called me back requesting I sign a release for them to be able to get information about our cases.  This was just last week.  I'm hoping to get an update soon.  I'll keep you posted.

BTW.... how long was the adopting process?  I'm here thinking maybe I should adopt my husbands children..

Thank you in advanced...

You have got to be kidding??!?!? Omg...my husbands 130 was transferred to NBC April 30th after 9 months at TSC and responding to RFE. Omg, please please don’t tell me I’m going to have to wait this long? My 60 day clock for the RFE response ends June 24th, if I don’t here anything, I will contact my senates office. You should contact them now as well. Did they transfer you to NBC or have you been there from the get go? Is your daughter here in the states? This is beyond ridiculous...

Me and my daughter are in Japan. and when she applied for I 130 my husband was with us in Japan. So we used Japanese address. Her I130 went straight to NBC. Recently my husband has called USCIS and told the situation also he is a veteran lived in overseas but now live in the US. They said they will consider the situation and try to look at her case in two weeks.

So don’t worry our case was complicated than yours, adoption process might take longer. I am hoping yours get approved very soon.

So our attorney said to we have to go by the processing times where files where originally located which in our case is the Potomac Service Center... I just check the USCIS website and was shocked to find out the their time have significantly changed from 8 - 10.5 months to this: image.thumb.png.44640fcfe56f348ba24cebc363b82079.png

I just sent a inquiry on our cases... @Ayako2019 you should probably do the same...

You received a RFE?  Can you tell me more about what they asked?  Was it an interview? Or just need to send them more information.  Please let me know.

Thanks.

Thank you.  Sorry I have been posting here under my daughter's account @aichanway  That was me. Sorry for the confusion. @Jaz & JP I hope you hear from them soon.  You know, My husband called USCIS 2 weeks ago and told we haven't heard anything for 10months. He talked to the supervisor and was told they would escalate my daughter's application since my husband is a veteran.   We got the escalation request number and tomorrow will hit 2 weeks and of we haven't heard anything from them yet I am mentally tired of this game.... My husband will call tomorrow and see what will happen. I hope everyone hear something good soon.

What does that mean thst your case is not supported by the uscis online filing system. Hopefully by the time you get this, you’ve called. Yes, I received an RFE but this was before the petition was transferred to nbc. It was just for additional info.

Visa Journey says our estimate NOA2 will be at the end of August. I don’t want to believe it. 😂 we got inquiry number 2 weeks ago they told me we would hear from NBC within two weeks and it’s been more than two weeks and we never did.

We will call USCIS again.

My daughter's (adopted) I 130, we filed on Aug 27th went straight to NBC. . My husband called USCIS and they said they would escalate our process and NBC would contact us in 2 weeks to let us know WHEN they will review her case.  we got different inquiry numbers.

2 weeks has gone, silent.  We called back again they said now they can't promise the time when they will email us cause the NBC was doing inventory and their work has been delayed.   The waiting time for NBC is now 10 to 13months. so till the 13months has left we can't do anything but wait. so I have no idea what is this inquiry number is for.  I am so fed up.
