Hello again people of the Visa Nightmare,

My story is a long one so Ill give the short version

Applied for K1, was approved - got married in 90 days

Left USA with no permission, unable to re-enter.

Applied for K-3 did half the process until too much time caused problems in relationship. During time was refused entry for a visit at CBP due to being married and having immigrant intent. Also applied at the Embassy for a tourist visa but was denied.

Over a year later, back on track and thinking about re-starting the K-3/Cr-1 process, we are now married over 2 years.

My question is this - I would like general reaction on whether I should try to visit my wife so we can talk through our differences in person, it is easier for me to travel to USA than her to visit the UK as she has a child. Will I just be denied again and lose the cost of my flight yet again? I would love to see my wife to see if we are still in the right place to persue Immigration.

It is hard to say what will happen as nothing has really changed for you in immigration's eyes - you are still married to a US citizen and requesting a visitor's visa.

Is it possible to consider meeting in a third country that you can both visit, ie. Canada? You would probably have no difficulties travelling to Canada - either Manitoba (Winnipeg) or Saskatchewan (Regina) depending on where she is in Nebraska - and have her travel that short distance, bringing her child if necessary. She would not yet need a passport if she crosses by land, but would if she flew in to meet up there. Something to consider, at any rate.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

She is in Ohio and the only difference I see now is that we dont have immigration paperwork in the system like before.

I think it's worth a try to come and visit. Just give a generic tourist reason for your US visit at the point of entry.
