Ok peeps i've been married to Jon for almost a week now, we did it last Saturday (got married that is :P ) i've been thinking now what do we do, I know it is AOS time but I have not even got my SSN yet although I have applied for it. We did go and open a joint bank account the other day, which again was interesting to say the least. The actual wedding day hmmmm something to giggle about now but we did have one moment. We went to the Justice centre at 3pm like we were told too, well we went 15 minutes earlier to be precise and NO ONE was there ..only security so we told him the Judge's name and then got told he was not there and had not been there all day, well you can imagine our thoughts. 3pm came and this man came strolling into the building and said are you the wedding party we said yep and he said well wait 5 minutes and then come up to G3. Sooooo we did and yes we were married, the judge let my daughter sit in his chair which I found fascinating, he also said that the day before he had sent 5 people to jail ...he was funny and caring at the same time. It was a nice day all considered ;)

12/12/05 Receive NOA1 snail mail - 30-60 day processing estimate

01/04/06 Receive NOA2 via e-mail

1/20/06 NVC letter in mail...will ship within a week.

2/1/06 Packet 3 and 4 in the mail

3/15/06 Interview - neither approved nor declined need to send in Migratory Movement Certificate AP

3/20/06 Migratory Movement Certificate for myself and fiancee sent to US Embassy in Lima

3/23/06 Visa Approved

5/19/06 I leave for Peru to pick up mi amor

5/25/06 Lucia and I arrive in Chicago

7/01/06 Legal Marriage

9/09/06 Religious Wedding

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT
