Ive done my 3 day sputum examination at st.lukes last March 6-8,2019 and was informed to come back after 2 months if my cultures comes out  negative. Im on my 2nd week already out of 8th on my waiting period. Stressful.

If during the 6th to 7th week of my waiting for the sputum culture result if no one call yet at that time I assume it will a negative result.

Im supposed to come back on May 7f or the immunization. My question is can i make a visa appointment for interview already say on May 9?  I am from cebu me and my fiance wants to try to limit the expenses so we want to do everything on the week im there in Manila.

Thank you

I wouldn't.    Because of the SPUTUM testing you will not be hand carrying your medical file to the embassy, you need allow time for the medical file to be delivered.   5-7 working days.

Been there, done that. After two months of waiting i came back for my immunizations and i did my interview after two days. (e.g. i did my immunizations on the 25th then on the 27th was my interview. Hope this would help you 😊

Don’t make appointment until you finish your 8 week culture. Some instances that they call on between 6-8 weeks just to inform you that they need to extend your culture process for another week. It happened to me they extend my culture for another week.

Well my fiancee is in her 8th week of the culture test and we are sitting on pins and needles and have been this entire time, but this last week is the worst. She is scheduled to go back to SLEC  for her vaccines on July 1, 2019. Up until now we have heard NOTHING from SLEC about the cultures. I am hoping this is a good sign. My whole K1 journey has been a cliff hanger to say the least. Hopefully we will catch a break and be able to finish this process.

It is a very great sign.   No contact from SLEC and you are near the end is an excellent sign.  :)

Do take note to schedule the interview at least 5-7 days after the vaccinations as your fiancee can not hand carry the medical file, it must be delivered by SLEC.

I know the feeling and understand what your going through right now. I myself was in constant edge and stressed with the the whole visa process.

If shes on her 8th week and no one contact her from st.lukes thats a promising sign indeed that her sputum results can be negative. Just pray and more patience with this whole processing thing.

In my experienced I came back to st.lukes on May 7,2019 to get my vaccination. I was able to get an interview appointment before for May 10,3 days since St. Lukes. On my interview i saw my medical papers is already with the US embassy people.it was already forwarded to them.

Best of luck on your K1 visa journey.. Its a tough journey but nothing beats the feeling of success and happiness when u finally got your visa on hand and be reunited with the person you love and care. God bless

Well 8 weeks has completed no call from SLEC my fiancee is en-route now to Manila to get her vaccines on July 1, 2019. She did call the embassy help desk to ask how long after her vaccines could she book her interview, they told her right after as it only takes 8 hours to get her medical file from SLEC. To be safe we are going to give it a couple of days.
