Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone was in the same situation. My fiance received petition approved letter from USCIS but I didn't get the envelop by mail. NOA2 Jan 11, NVC ready Feb 19th, calendar opened March 1.

Does anyone have any tips on what to do? Should we get in touch with USCIS, explain the situation and ask them to send another copy? 🤔

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Elena

It usually takes a month to six weeks between NOA2 and the consulate phase.  Not sure there is anything that can be done right now.

Good Luck!

You definitely should contact USCIS and request a paper copy NOA2 from them. You will not need it at the Embassy but you will not be able to file for AOS without it. They should understand it well, it's USCIS again who adjudicate the AOS petitions.

Just to double check - it's not the letter from USCIS "petition approved" which my fiance got by mail a week after our petition was approved?

Not sure about Embassy letter (in Ukraine they don't mail anything) but it's rather early for the NVC hard copy to arrive. My NOA2 was 12/31 and the NVC letter physical copy arrived just a week before my interview which was 03/18. That is, arrived to me directly in Ukraine

I believe you can look at filling out the DS160 pay the fee and schedule an interview.  I don’t think you have to wait for a hard copy from the consulate.
