Affidavit of support questions

Hi,

My interview is in two days, does anyone know if it is ok to bring W-2 from 2015-2017 for affidavit of support? Or do I have to bring W-2 from 2018? Also, it is possible to add another joint sponsor at this point? If so, how?

Generally, the last three years of tax returns and W-2s are needed, not just the W2s, and 2018 is not necessary until after April 15.  Also, evidence of current income is recommended, six months of pay stubs up to the most recent one.  Same evidence is recommended for a co-sponsor who will have to fill out the affidavit of support and sign it as well so you can take everything to the interview.  Also many consulates require IRS tax transcripts now which can be downloaded from the IRS website.  Carefully read and follow exactly the instructions you received from the consulate about what to bring to the interview and be prepared with as many documents as you can gather.  Why are you asking about a co-sponsor?  Does the petitioner/sponsor not satisfy the minimum income requirements?  Good luck!

Yes, she recently just graduated from college, so we need to find a sponsor:)
