Waiting time for Montreal Canada Interview

Hey guys! I'm a French citizen living in Montreal and I'm still unsure of where to take my interview... Montreal would be more convenient but I'm afraid of the waiting times. The Paris embassy doesn't look too bad but I don't have much data on it. I'm in NSC so I think I'll have waited long enough by then, haha. Is this backlog usual for Montreal? Is it for all visas or do some wait longer than others? My husband (he's the USC) and I have applied for a CR1. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hard to answer as we don’t know about Paris waiting time. Check on Paris portal to see estimated waiting time. Montreal seems delayed. No interview dates given out this month (yet).

Does anyone know if the consulate will group a families interviews together? My husband was given DQ in May and 1/3 of my kids was DQ this week. Will they put the kids interviews together or just book them first come first served?

my spouse got CC on jan 14 2019. PD became current on april 1 2019.

 

still no call from nvc.

we are F2A.

Hi!

 

Just wanted to give some info for others who are in the IR-5 category. My mom is a Mexican National living in Canada on a permanent resident visa who is seeking a Permanent resident visa (green card) for the US. Being that I am a US citizen, I am sponsoring her green card application to the US. Being that she lives in Canada, Montreal would be her interview location.

 

We submitted documentation on 04/29/19. We got a rejection on 05/17/19 because we had the wrong Police Certificate from Canada along with items not being the correct orientation. We submitted again on 06/14/19. Today, 07/15/19 we received CC. We are just waiting for the interview date like many others on here. 

 

Since most of you here are in the FP category, I wonder if the delay is for FP category only. Any other IR-5 category applicants here? If so, how long have you been waiting for an interview?

hi there, they don't entertain queries by calling, but you could email them for your follow up and questions here :

I got reply from my embassy Montreal ☹️ I was surprised that NVC handles schedule interviews

When we called the nvc they said they wait for the Us Embassy to give out the time slots available for interviews.

Hi there, can anyone provide an estimated interview wait time for Spousal I-130’s? Our priority date is - June 17, 2019.

 

Also, since I am from Western Canada, does anyone have any advice on scheduling medical appointments in conjunction with the interview?
