Hey guys!

So I'm having an issue with accessing the calendar. My case was shipped from NVC on March 5th, and Jared got Packet 4 letter from the Embassy on March 19th that I can now schedule an interview. Since I do talk to other people, I know that two more couples from my shipment got these letters at the same time as we did, and their calendar was opened yesterday. Mine wasn't, and I still see this yellow message about them receiving my request for an interview. I actually sent this request on March 13th, when DHL website showed that our cases were received. And I repeated it after we got the letter 2 days ago.

I wanted to ask if it's common that they don't give access to the calendar after sending that letter? I thought the whole point of them sending it was to actually give access 😕

I did call a few times, but operators just keep telling me the standard information about waiting. They don't seem to care if I got a letter or not.

So my question is if I should send them an email with an attached copy of that letter? And in case if it's indeed common, how much time does it usually take to receive access after getting that letter from the embassy?

Thanks,

Olga

I’m very interested in this topic.  So far, we haven’t been able to “see” the calendar (received the embassy granting access last week).

additionally, I’ve heard that Moscow releases interview dates 2x per month (although none since February 12).  Is there a standard day that they release?

Can you at least "see" that there are no dates available? Because I can't even see that yet 🙈

I don't think there's any standard. So far there have been none dates released. Only two girls got their interviews scheduled next month but they're doing spouse visa where embassy sets the date on their own

Ugh so frustrating. I don't see the point in that email they sent us if I can't even monitor dates.

After calling ustraveldocs this morning, they said that the calendar “shows up” on your dashboard when dates become available.

can anyone confirm this?

Yes, it's true. For now you should see "there are no dates available" message. And that's the point where I am trying to get 😆

There's no standard, and they definitely aren't consistent on 2x per month; they released dates more often than that in January.

Ugh. I still don't have access to the calendar even though I got all the letters and the last update of my case on CEAC was on 19th of March, the same day they sent us a letter from the embassy. "Ready" was on the 7th.

Guys, does anyone know how we could possibly contact people who actually deal with cases? Not phone operators and not those who answer messages sent from contact box within the account page? Because none of them knows what's going on.

My fiancé tried calling and they took his message. But I was told that it's the same phone operators people who send standard answers to those requests a few days later.

I'm really confused since other couples from 5th of March shipment got the access already. Should we try calling NVC and ask them to contact the embassy? I know at this point it's probably not their business anymore, but I really don't know what to do.

That's a really weird and frustrating situation to be in! Sorry you got there.

There seems to be absolutely no way to contact the people in charge, otherwise it will be too corrupt, I guess...

Try writing them every day, using the website's feedback or what it was called (start to forget these details) and calling, because you should at least see "there are no dates available). I guess somebody forgot to press some button for you or it is a glitch that should be fixed.

Try to be patient too..but keep writing anyway! :)

Hello Lena,

Thank you for your reply!

I will wait till tomorrow evening to see if they open it (it's going to be exactly a week since we received the letter). If there's still nothing, I'm going to follow your advice and start bombarding them with calls and messages since it's the only thing I can do. I actually do call them every 2 days or so but they keep saying the same thing because to them my account looks like the request wasn't approved, and I am not sure they even understand that there's a letter which follows the opening.

Btw, I did send them a message last week regarding this matter (website's feedback which you mentioned), but I got a standard response which sounded as if they didn't even read what I wrote and didn't see the attached screenshot of the letter. Those auto-responses really drive me nuts because they aren't helpful at all.

But yeah, I try to be patient. It's hard right now because they should open dates for interviews soon after a long break, and I can't even grab one once they do :)
