Hi, I was wondering if anyone had issues when expediting the work permit via congressmen/senators. I just called USCIS to ask about my work permit and they refused to give me any information due to confidentiality. I was wondering whether USCIS accepts expedites from congressmen/senators and whether they are not restricted in their actions due to this confidentiality. Previously, I could get information about my work permit and advance parole  based on VAWA over the phone - but that is not the case anymore. Thank you in advance for you answer!

They are working in the VAWA case received in Aug and September 2017. You should contact your congressperson to inquire on your behalf.

Hey please be calm i know all this process is frustrating and confusing  but your case seems to be ok, if they told you when you called that they cannot share information on behalf of your I-485 is because they linked it and are aware of your I360 application already and is showing on their system. if they were NOT linked with each other they will probably give information on your I-485 but since I-360 is extremely confidential so is every application linked with it. Sent your EAD Renewal to Vermont together with your a copy of your I-485 and I-360 Receipt. Once Vermont office received it they will issue a I-797C notice of action. and you I-765 will be pending with them until approval.

Thanks so much for replying my question...I will just be hopeful and see where everything leads to ,one step at a time ...so did you say I have to put the i485 form together with my i360 receipt and i765 renewal form to renew my ead..I only had scanned one with me that my lawyer sent to my email ..can I use that too ...

Yes requested the 485 to be held until VAWA adjudication. I have received the Ead C31 but also have one under C9 that I will keep renewing until I get my green card.  Send the renewal to Vermont. Your case seems to be fine, if you haven’t received a NOA or anything like that you should be fine, especially if you can renew your work permit it means your 485 is still pending.

Congrats. After application,patient is the next tool and a lot of prayers loaded with faith and positive thinking. Don’t add more to already stressed condition you found your self. Anxiety will kill one before breakthrough.

i did that plus all the emails I had as proof and videos and audios too!

I applied with a lawyer and I didn't ask to hold my I485 in pending status.
How can I do so right now? 
My lawyer told me that i485 will be abandoned and I will need to apply again after VAWA is approved.
Please comment..

I need to get the document in hand 1st and I am

scared to travel plus I am very close to get Interview Noticed too so I trying to decide what is best!

Just send a copy of your I-485 & I-360 with  you I-765 renewal form. Lately USCIS has rejected several I-765 renewal and they are asking to paid the Fee, which you don't need to if you already paid the I-485 fee when you applied, just sent it to be on the safe side.. They will send you I-797C notice of action once they received it.
