VAWA, Part 13

Hi everyone, I just applied for VAWA while my I485 was pending (EAD+AP was approved). I just want to understand what's gonna happen now after I applied, how long will the process take? How do I extend my EAD and/or AP? Should I do it now or later when it is expired? What happens after the decision is made? 
Also, I am moving from Florida to California due to work, so what's gonna happen to my case? Will it be transferred to a local CA office or not?
Thank you for any info you can share, so I can understand the process better.

Great! You can renew your ead as early as 4 or 5months before expiration..due to the length of time it's taking..just to be on the safe side!did you ask them to hold your i485 while your vawa is adjucated? Please do so! If you move please update your address..online and written note as well! Upon approval they process your i485 if it's still pending! I hope this helps!

Its taking as long as 16 to 22months..no one can really be specific..as it depends on the complexity of your case and the officer handling it! I

There are folks here waiting since Feb and March 2017!

No worries, mine is the same but I know it has been moving. That screen is on mine too since October 2018  but already got Courtesy Letter on March 13 2019 plus my I765 c09 was approved too on February 2019 so don’t pay attention to it!

My EAD will expire in Sept so in order to fill early d o i have to pay fees for i-765 along with i-131 ? 

and  what documents should i send ? 

 

 

Hey dear..just before sandra comes through..the EAD is c9 right? From a pending i485? I didn't pay for any renewal..have never paid for renewal! Was asked by my attorney to bring in two passport pictures, copy of the EAD to be renewed..I guess that's it..as far as I can remember.

I have the same status for my I-485. I called USCIS, they told me it is a system glitch. I can see the status of this petition on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov though

Of course yes! The address on file currently will determine the interview location! Except you have an attorney and all correspondence goes to them! Even at that it should be updated dear!

i had this update from october 2018, the day i submitted my I-485 until January 9th 2019 that the status change to case transfers to another office .So you are fine don’t worry you hear something soon!Praying for you all!🙏🙏

But...I just want to know if everything is okay and they start reviewing it. At least it will be less overwhelming to know that they have it in a safe place and didn’t lost it somewhere after Easter🙈🤪

Thank you my dear, my issue is this status changed after the transfer of my case in January,  so from Feb it's been the same

I suggest you read the threads 9/13 you will find the answer to all your questions. The VAWA will take at least 16months , you can apply to extend your EAD 6 months the expiration date. They will transfer the case but USCIS is messy to update the address.
