Hey Vawa Friends 

 

I just received my I-797C Transfer notice from USCIS it says my I-765/I-131 was transfer from NBC to Vermont  they said the transfer was made to speed up the processing.

Since my congressman made an expedited inquired with a letter of my employer. All this back and forth is so frustrating now i need to wait for Vermont to process my EAD and i only have until June with my extension don't know if my wait time will take into consideration  or i will start in queue all over again 😕

@staypositiveDid you request your i485 to be hold till your i360 is adjudicated and what is your i485 status showing when you track it on Uscis website ..and have you ever renewed your EAD based on i360 and where did you send the renewal form to if you have..I’m just confused about my case I want to be assured that my i485 isn’t pending cause it’s still showing request for initial evidence for my i360 receipt and have sent the receipt to them since last week but they haven’t said they have received it on their website..so I called Uscis they refused to share the information about my i485 where it is ...they said it’s confidential

Hey please be calm i know all this process is frustrating and confusing  but your case seems to be ok, if they told you when you called that they cannot share information on behalf of your I-485 is because they linked it and are aware of your I360 application already and is showing on their system. if they were NOT linked with each other they will probably give information on your I-485 but since I-360 is extremely confidential so is every application linked with it. So this is a good news. 

Sent your EAD Renewal to Vermont together with your a copy of your I-485 and I-360 Receipt. Once Vermont office received it they will issue a I-797C notice of action. and you I-765 will be pending with them until approval.

Hi guys, is there a way to know when they are working on a pending I485 ? it is been pending for over two years now. Will there be an update when they receive VAWA approvals or not? sometimes i feel like the file has been abandoned or thrown out lol

Lol but nah..it can't be abandoned or thrown out just like that..if anything they would give a notice..before or after..but rest assured that if you asked for it to be held all these while..it has been! Do you have an approved vawa? After approval, they adjucate the i485 not before! Relax..we'll get there!

Did you submit your  I-485 along with VAWA or  you file before you applied for VAWA. I apply with my Abuser I-485 on October 2017. and April 2019 is when they scheduled interview NYC Field office. The time of wait is getting worse and worse. My Vawa is pending, i will request to hold in abeyance.

i filed it before VAWA. wow you waited almost two years. omg

okay dear thank you. i meant it was held in abeyance after i filed for VAWA. I wish there can be an update just to tell me the 485 is still active.

Yes i have... and this is only the initial I-485 filed before Vawa... My wait time just began.  You are already closer your Vawa has been approved already so your I-485 interview is around the corner

It is well!  Just hang in there and be hopeful. its not an easy wait but it is one that is worth it at the end of it all.

Thanks dear. i will wait for them to update is someday. i do have alerts. the last update was the last scheduled interview with my former spouse which i went for alone and requested for my file to be held because i had filed VAWA.
