I want to submit text messages for VAWA as proof of abuse, does anybody knows if there is any other way than taking screenshots of the text messages?

Snap a picture of it or send it to your email, make a copy to translate in English.

i did that plus all the emails I had as proof and videos and audios too!

I use Trusted Translations Company to translate all my documents, paulc@trustedtranslations.com

Very efficient and professional, they did all my paperwork, guaranteed.

When did you get it?

i had seen average timeline is between 4-12 weeks most likely around week 7-10 to get the Interview Noticed the longest wait time I read was 5 months so I’m hoping we get it sooner vs later, I got mine 3/13/2019 Chicago Local Office.

I got the courtesy letter after a month of the approval. Its been 6 months since my approval and NOT YET THE interview notice. NO updates either in the website

@digonyc I have a very similar timeline from yours. Some local offices, yours and mine included, are taking a very long time to schedule interviews. Hang in there, you are not alone!

@escape are you in NYC? You guys are scaring me with the impending AOS wait that lies ahead...phew! Been reading the conversation and heart's doing flips..😕

Wow! Good to identify with NYC folks on here..digonyc says courtesy was received after only only one month of approval! NYC is obviously among the long wait times state! Does anyone know if a previously pending i485 makes any difference..as opposed to filing alongside i360 or after approval of i360? I've always wondered if it helps things along...😕😕

@sandranjplease where will I send my EAD renewal to if my i485 is pending although I already I filed i360 and I got the first C9 card on marriage based so I want to know where to send my renewal to and I also want to know if I did this right .i tried to change my address online but it’s not letting me do it so I decided to download the form and print out and fill it out and notarized it and send it to Vermont For my change of address and I also notarized the form A r 11 with my statement and send it out...and I also resend the rfe that my local field ask me to send and I also included my I360 receipt and another AR11 form,so I wanna if they will change my address to my new address....

You must send it to Vermont.

Uscis is messy and  they rarely update the address, after sending the letter wait 10days and go to infopass to see if they  updated your address or not .

If the person has a pending l485 then the person SHOULD NOT file a new l485.

If the AOS was  denied because the spouse withdrew forms l130/l485 the person can refile a new AOS without any problem.

Hi Sandra..my question actually is if someone has a pending i485 before filing Vawa..if it hastens the process after Vawa approval...how does it work? Does filing for Vawa puts you in a fresh queue for AOS irrespective of previous pending i485?

I am in NYC also, was approved in October 2018 and have not received a courtesy letter yet. Have my I-485 pending since it was filed with my ex spouse.

Oh I see..this pretty much answers my question..as I thought having a pending previously filed i485 gives you some type if priority but no..looking more like joining the queue after vawa approval! Arrrrggghhhh!😠

@digonyc not sure if I’m correct, but it makes sense that @staypositive didn’t receive a courtesy letter. I think the courtesy letter gets sent when our package hits NBC after VAWA approval.

Ive read in a previous post from Sandra, that for timing, it doesn’t really matter if the 485 was put on hold or it is a new one. But as we know, there are a lot of actions from USCIS that we can’t make any sense of...

My evil USC ex withdraw the 130, got 485 denied. I re applied. Vawa had been filed already, so no removal letter. My VAWA approval letter has a PD date of my first (and denied) 485. It makes no sense... I don’t worry about it.

The previous l485 filed doesn’t make any difference. The person will be put in the queue
