I filed my VAWA in October 2017 - with a pending I485 from I130 filing with my abusive husband which was held in abeyance

I received 4 Prima Facies in total

NO RFEs

Applied for Advance Parole - Dec 13 2018

Got approved MArch 12 but no advanced parole document received till now

I had a lot of issues getting my EAD card. I just kept getting the 6 months extension. I applied for extension twice

The last extension was in Nov 2018

Got approved April 19 2019

Card in Hand April 18

Notification under VAWA - Card in production April 25th

I want to submit text messages for VAWA as proof of abuse, does anybody knows if there is any other way than taking screenshots of the text messages?

I used  text messages screen shot as proof of abuse for Vawa and to get an restraining order. I send it to my email and printed out. My lawyer also translated all the text from Spanish to English and made an notarized  statement of the person the did the translation.  Proof is proof. We just need to find the right way to present it as a valid evidence. The police accepted the proof and also the family court I got an order protection for a year.

May 21st 2018 - USCIS received my combo petition case ( I-360, I- 485, I-765)

June 15th 2018 - I received my Biometric Appointment notice. 

July 5th 2018  - I received a Prima Face Determination notice

July 6th 2018 - I had my Biometric Appointment. 

 

Since that moment I didn’t receive information, even about my EAD. I was very frustrated becase I was supposed to receive this around August. I was been in touch with my lawyer and he said that some cases take more time than others. 

 

So, almost one year latter, at the beginning of April 2019 I met a person who works in a lawyer office and he told that my case is taking an inusual and longer time, and my lawyer can call and take more information about my case. So I called him and pushed to do it. He finally called and UCIS said that my case was in the wrong category 🙈(According that I have been learning from this group, I supposed my application was under C31 and not under the right C09) it surprised me, but it’s ok, I have to be patient. My EAD will arrive soon 🙏🏻.

i have downloaded an app that helped with text messages. I dont know the name anymore, its been over 2 years.  The text messages in my case was a very good proof of abuse and made me win the case. Google a app, there is a bunch.

Just copy the message in words and print. That’s what I did when I submitted it.

@sandranjplease where will I send my EAD renewal to if my i485 is pending although I already I filed i360 and I got the first C9 card on marriage based so I want to know where to send my renewal to and I also want to know if I did this right .i tried to change my address online but it’s not letting me do it so I decided to download the form and print out and fill it out and notarized it and send it to Vermont For my change of address and I also notarized the form A r 11 with my statement and send it out...and I also resend the rfe that my local field ask me to send and I also included my I360 receipt and another AR11 form,so I wanna if they will change my address to my new address....

When did you get it?

i had seen average timeline is between 4-12 weeks most likely around week 7-10 to get the Interview Noticed the longest wait time I read was 5 months so I’m hoping we get it sooner vs later, I got mine 3/13/2019 Chicago Local Office.
