Can you describe specifically about the details of COURTSHIP? What you want to see in my affidavit? Should I include intimate details? We dated only six months before jumping into marriage. I have her old text messages as well as some letters and card that she bought for me. Should I send the cards or should I send some pictures of her letters and cards? Moreover, she gave me gifts too. Should I print any text messages ?

Not only her, but you gotta have proof that you bought her this n that i mean exchanged gifts between you guys

Finally.. The long wait is over.. Sadly the login uscis account isnt showing this update but when i went directly to their website and put in my receipt number this popped up.. Why have an account to check the status if they're not updating it respectfully?  This is my very first ead filed in November after i realized that the category my former attorney filed (c31) meant i would have only gotten it once my vawa was approved. The received date was november 23 2018

Before sandra comes through..I just wanna let you know that the affidavit should be detailed! From the day you met, how you met, dating, who proposed, how you proposed, when you got married, married life, when and how abuse started, etc. You asked if you should include intimate details..well it depends on how intimate..I'm not sure the officer wants the details of intimacy between both of you..but you can modestly suggest that as a couple you have been intimate..not sure about details though. Basically the officer wants to establish that you met your spouse and married in good faith. So the content of your affidavit will determine victory or not...that's why sandra stresses that it should be detailed in regards to what I've just stated above. Of course any proof from you or your spouse that will help drive or support your affidavit is recommended. Treat the affidavit like a lifeline! In my case it saved me! Yes cards, letters, receipts messages etc will help greatly! Goodluck!

I really appreciate your response. If you can provide me with any sample, I would really appreciate that.

I thought I would need to make it consice that's why I didn't add long details of relationship. If I  had any sample under my eyes, it would have helped me a lot. For the gifts, I have no receipts. Is it okay?

I believe you should put in hold until ’s  Approval

I am not a lawyer but this according to what others had done in same situation including mine.

Believe me you do not need sample! I'm sure the officer is not looking for the best writing technique or anything superficial. They just want to know the facts and dynamics of the relationship between you and your spouse. Your affidavit shouldn't be in any particular pattern. It should just contain all the information I mentioned earlier about the development of your relationship with your spouse pre marital, marital and post marital..i.e after the marriage period..just pen down the truth...there's no sample needed because what happened with you is unique to you..it's not same thing that happend to another person. Except you are worried about writing style..as it relates to the content coordination, paragraph arrangement etc..that should be the least of your worries as that is not what the officer is looking out for. You should worry more about facts and consistency! #also make sure the people(friends or family) who offer to write an affidavit for your case do not follow any pattern!! Everyone's signature is unique to them and that involves writing styles too! Everyone should seperately and confidentially write what they know about you and your spouse! For the gifts, if you have no receipts no problem! Jusy gather everything else you can. They want to see any credible evidence!

hopefully you get the receipt before the actual interview date! Do you have a copy of the i360 you filed? You might wanna go with anything to show you just filed for VAWA. Most times it depends on the officer you meet, some comply others don't! Let's hope you're able to convince the officer though. Wish you all the best.

You are very correct. It’s few from October that are been approved. It’s really slow and not evenly done as some people have it earlier than others. While someone in October has been approved, we have August still begging. We hope it will move up to 2018 one day.

Average approvals timeline is between 14-18 months some up to 24-36 months then another 4-9 months to get I485 adjudicated some up to 12 months so yours is yet to come 🙌🏼💫

Mention what you used to do when dating her such as dinner out, bars, visiting friends, attending parties when and where, when you met her family and friends, when she met your friends, if she talked to your family over the phone, if you traveled with her, how often you saw her when dating, how often you talked to her during the week, if she used to spend weekends with you or vice versa, mention the gifts you gave her and vice versa, where did you spend  dates such as Valentine's day, Christmas, New Year's Eve, July 4, etc..When did you tell  her that you love her, what did you have in common with her?, what was it that most attracted you to her?. When did you decide to propose to her? did you talk to your family before the proposal and how did they react?, did you give her a ring, how was the proposal, where and when, did you discuss with her about having children. Describe your wedding day, who attended, where you celebrated the wedding,  if you did not have a religious mention explain why not, describe your daily routine with her when married, mention if you used to have friends over, when and who was there, describe the abuse.
