Hello folks, I have a quick question? Does anyone renew your DL with EAD 180 days extension in Philadelphia? My DL is about to expire. I don’t receive the new EAD yet. Thanks for your replies.

Why you think USCIS decide not to renew your EAD pending your AOS....

No idea... When I tried to expedite through the Congressman and Ombudsman, they scheduled the interview (marriage-based). I think they don't issue renewals if they see the interview is coming. But it is just my guess

@sandranj. Can you please suggest me what to do?

I filled for VaWa Feb 2017 got rfe in May 2018 replied in Aug 2018. Have not heard anything from uscis. I did senator enquiry twice once in November and other in February. Both the times senators office told me that they got reply that it's pending with background check.

I don't understand what to do.

Can I contact ombudsmen ? Do they really help? Will it have negative impact on my case?

Please somebody help, I will go crazy thinking about this.

I'm sorry, I don't have any idea, but I'm almost in the same boat, Jan 2017 filer, stuck on background check, no RFE

I tried everything to understand the process.

In your case you got the RFE and after submitting, got stuck on background check.

My question is: is there any chance that we get another RFE after background clears?

Point is, is the background check the last stage of the Vawa adjusting process? or is it possible get another RFE about application?

@sandranj please can you answer my question too?  or anyone who knows please respond.

Thanks

Hello  everybody I filed for vawa in April 2018 I’m married to permanent resident so I only applied for the 1 360

my question is after I get my vawa approved what’s next ?

can I travel with advance parole with approved  Vawa?

How much longer to get my 485 approved ?

Sorry I have to many questions

Your spouse is a green card holder then you need to wait for a visa number to become available to submit your I-485,it might take 2 to 3 years. You need to check often the visa bulletin.

You will not receive Advance parole because of your VAWA approval, in order to obtain advance parole you need to file for AOS,  but as i said before you can file  AOS  just when a visa number becomes available.

Guys, the police clearance from our Home Country is mandatory? I sent only the FBI police clearance and I haven’t sent from my Home country. Ps: I have been living less than 3 years in the US.

trying to figure out what my 2nd RFE can be

it's mandatory In your case the police clearance from your Country because you are living here less than 3 years.

@sandranj would you mind telling me when is best time to do Medical after receiving the Courtesy Letter on March 13th 2019?

not sure if it is wise to do it ASAP or to wait for the Interview Notice to arrive? I will appreciate your input. Thank you in advanced.

You need to check  your local  office timeline because some  local offices are still adjudicating AOS filed in 2016, and the medical exam is valid for just 12 months.

Hello house,I’m about to send my change of address to Vermont center vawa section..I sent in my i360 on the 21st of March and I was having marriage interview for my i485 and I went alone and asked for them to hold it but she said she will deny my application..but I received rfe to send receipt for i360 so they can decide my case..please what can I do about the receipt cause they haven’t sent the receipt to me and My lawyer and can I send them the tracking number that shows the receiver of the package at Vermont center to show that I filed for it truly cause they have me ultimatum of a month to send the receipt and no one knows when they will send the receipt..

Your attorney can submit a copy of the track number and explain to USCIS that you didn't receive the receipt number yet and as soon you receive he will submit to them.

Good day all,

Please I have a question, I received an RFE which I responded back over 60 days ago, yet I have not gotten a response from USCIS.  I'm kinda worried, I thought they respond back within 60 days you submit the RFE. It's now 63days they received the response to their RFE.

So what do y' all suggest I do????

I filled vawa in 2017 July, received RFE in December 2018, responded back February 5 2019.

Thanks

USCIS has 180 days to adjudicate the case after receiving  the RFE answer, that being said 63 days is not a big deal.

Hello every one please help me,

Is there fee for EAD renewal ?  My EAD will expire in Sept 2019 in 4 months,  when should i send EAD renewal to USICS and what documents to include with it.

There is something very odd happening lately. The Immigration Law clear states that there is no fee to renew the EAD if you filed your I-765 along with your I-485, and if you are renewing  the EAD using same category, but I saw just this year at least 15 cases that USCIS rejected the I-765 and asked them to pay the fee. There is one person that I helped here that she submitted the I-765 to renew and USCIS rejected stating she didn't pay the fee, she submitted right away again without the fee and they rejected again and i told her to submit form I-912 as well and now they accepted the form I-765, but id doesn't make sense  what they are doing because the Law states the  person doesn't have to pay to  renew the EAD, that being said I advise you folks to file form I-912 when renewing the I-765.

It's possible to receive EAD while the background check is pending.

Hello everyone, I am happy that I found here!

I submitted my i360 July 2017, and received EAD c31 last month, but the status hasn’t changed to i360 approval yet, may I ask normally how long will it change and receive the approval document? My attorney said we would submit I485 after receiving the approval letter. So if then, will my I485 waiting dates count from the day I submit it? I assume that would be a long waiting if so.

thank you all, so excited I found here:)
