Divorce is divorce. It can be for a number of reasons..someone had mentioned irreconcilable differences and they are right! If its uncontested then it's much easier. If you feel you need to severe all ties with your abuser as part of a safety plan to put distance between you guys by all means go ahead. Lawyer up though.👍

Great advice @Ziongirl 😊 👍

Thanks for the suggestions !

You don’t have to be present to get divorce, you can file the petition and get him served thru the lawyer and court system. Where are you? Texas? If you are in Dallas area Alma Benavides is a Divorce Lawyer, the best!

I will advise you not to have mediation so you don’t have to see your abuser.

I know how scary it must be, being there, done it!

If you have Police Reporta tell your lawyer so you can file under abused.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hello every one please help me,

Is there fee for EAD renewal ?  My EAD will expire in Sept 2019 in 4 months,  when should i send EAD renewal to USICS and what documents to include with it.

The above application and its supporting documents are attached. The application cannot be accepted because a proper fee or fee waiver was not submitted with your filing. If you filed Form 1-485 and paid the Form 1-485 application fee, no additional fee is required to also file Form 1-765 and/or Form 1-131. If the filing fee was waived on your 1485 filing, then fee or fee waiver is required for Form I-765 and/or Form 1-1 131. Please review your filing and resubmit with appropriate remittance of the filing fee or fee waiver. For additional information on fee filing requirements and proper jurisdiction for the form you are submitting. please visit the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov/forms, and Form G-105S Fee Schedule.

@Trizzle Awesome you got your interview scheduled already! Your local office is kind of fast. Good luck on your interview!!

It gives me hope mine will be scheduled this year! I was approved in November, but my office is one of the most backlogged ones, average over 18 mo.

@FridayGirl@69 I know you are anxiously waiting for your interview too. I think none of the posted waiting times (family and employment) apply for us- approved Vawa. Our time will come! 🙂
