Hi, I’m going to get affidavits from friends and I’m confused about what they have to say. Are they supposed to mention that me and my spouse are no longer together? If yes, the reason? One of my friends doesn’t know the abuse in details so I’m not sure if its going to be awkward for immigration a statement talking about our marriage.

if you guys have any kind of sample and could please share with me I appreciate

thank you!!

For God sake do not use a sample, if you want to have your case denied use some kind of copy and paste affidavit. Each affiant has to write down their own affidavit stating full name, date and place of birth, address and the phone number. They have to mention when they met you, if they met your spouse when dating you, how did they meet and how many times. How long you dated, If they attended the wedding or not, if not why not .If they went to your home after the wedding, if they talked or saw your wife there and how many times. When did they find out about the separation? If they believe that you loved your wife and vice versa, but tell them not to write the affidavit following exactly what I am writing here. Get an affidavit from your mother  or sibling as well.If they do not speak english they can write in their native language the affidavit and a third part can can translate, not you. The person has to write down that he/she  is fluent in English and xxxxx.

PLEASE DO NOT DRAFT THE AFFIDAVITS AND ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO SIGN. I saw so many decisionS from the Board  of Immigration saying that the  affidavits clearly were written by the same person cause even the computer font and size were the same, some people are not creative lol.

Look tey don't have to know the abuse in details but at least they need to know why you separated and when you separated .It's impossible you didn't tell at least for one friend what happened.

Hi everyone. Just finished my interview. It went very well. When the officer called me in, she was very nice and courteous. She swore me in and made me sign a waiver that I was willing to be interviewed without my lawyer present. She asked for my medical and I said that I had not gotten it done because the interview notice came only yesterday. she said it was no problem and that I could send it in before July 3.

She asked me the bio-data questions on my I485 form. And then she said I know it’s very difficult to ask about the abuse so I won’t bring it up but I need You to answer these questions. tell me your husbands name, his birthday, the address you resided with him and the date of your wedding a which I promptly answered.

Then she proceeded to ask me the processing yes/no questions.

then she asked me if I had any questions. I asked her if she had everything and if everything looked ok. She said she didn’t see any red flags.

Then she ended with ok we’re done. When we receive the medical report, we will approve your case.

Praise God! I’m so happy. I was very lucky because the officer was so nice and accommodating.

Thank you to everyone in this forum. You all have kept me sane these last few months.

Wow congrats dear!🌋🌟💐🌟🌋💐 beautiful! This is great news! Enjoy your new journey! Awesome God!
