You file your divorce base on abuse i believe it will help you for futur or interview  it gotta be a connection between your vawa divorce.

So if i was u i will file divorce base on abuse

On divorce decree am sure they do not put any reason, I think maybe you have the wrong information the only person you have to tell about your abuse is I guess your therapist a friend and in your affidavit those are things that help,

I need help. My VAWA was approved on August 1, 2018 and according to USCIS website, the case was transferred to another office on August 29. Up until this morning, April 8 - it says that same thing.

This morning my lawyer called and said on Friday they received a letter dated March 26 that my interview is set for tomorrow April 9. So I’m freaking out. I don’t know what to expect.

My lawyer is out of state and said that he is contacting a local attorney to accompany me to the interview. Is that normal?  Coz I’ve seen a lot of people here say they went to the interview by themselves. So now I think there’s a problem since a lawyer has to come.

Also the letter says something about the interview being videotaped. Is that normal? I’m seriously going crazy.

Im grateful that this could be it and i have conquered and will finally be a permanent resident but at the same time I’m nervous about it bein suck short notice.

If Sandra is reading this or if anyone

can advice me or if you have the same situation. Please. I’m desperate.

Be at peace and all will be well, what is your local office

First question that came to mind after reading your post is..do you have your updated medicals? That said..try not to be too nervous (it's hard I know😉) make sure your documents all originals are in order. You should be fine dear. Wish you the best. Let us know how it goes.

That’s my problem. My lawyer had said since medical Information is time sensitive that when we receive the interview notice then I would go for my medical. Little did we know that we would receive the letter a day before. They apparently received it on Friday and after sorting all the mail it only went to his desk today the day before the interview. I’m freaking out. I do have my immunization records.

The letter they sent me had boxes that are checked that I need to bring. The box with the medical isn’t checked.

Also just a couple of minutes ago, he called and said it’s better for me to go alone because finding a new local lawyer the day before is too risky since they don’t know anything about my case.

He will call at in an hour and give me a mock interview. He also sent me all the files they sent in my behalf which was also checked on the form.

Everythif is just too sudden and I’m scared for messing this interview up.

The fees you retained him at requires for him to attend the interview with you..he could have made arrangements to ensure he goes with you..not that it makes any significant difference though..it's just the extra confidence a representative around is supposed to give you..anyway the good news is that a lot of folks go by themselves and get approved. From someone's interview disclosure on here.. The IO simply said "you have an approved vawa so everything has been pretty much taken care of at vermont so yeah you're approved" I hope it goes that smoothly for you..also since they didn't check the medical box...just go with what you have and muster some form of confidence and be polite. You should be fine.

Any way that you choose to feel is fine and natural.

If you have butterflies in your stomach, get them to fly in formation. :)

The mock interview is a great idea that will help immensely.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It is not a wrong information

In the State of New Jersey they asked me before the reason why i wanna be divorce? and i wrote down the reason of the divorce in order to serve the spouse and  allow her or him to READ  and sign.

It gotta be a reason show that you need a divorce

By the way have you ever divorce?
