Hi everyone, I have received my i360 approval notice. On the priority date, it says April 20 2019, what does priority date mean on the notice?

I don't want to be annoying but I would really appreciate if you guys can help me with this one

 

• I know you're not lawyers, but
• I'm married to a U.S. Citizen
• We have no children
• We were married for about 6 months
• She got arrested for domestic abuse at a Walmart
• My immigration attorney filed an I - 360 and I - 765 WITH NO I -485

The I - 765 form is under C 31 category, which means I have to wait until my I - 360 to get the I -765 approved

I asked why didn't she filed an I - 485 so I can get an EAD before I get a decision on my I - 360, and why was that the previous lawyer that was handling my case for adjustment of status based on marriage did file an I - 485 and I got an EAD way before getting an interview scheduled when my wife and I were still together, she said that the reason was that I was an immediate relative at the time, that now I'm filing on my own and I can't file an I - 485 until I get the I - 360 approved

 

I'm not a 100% satisfied with this answer

 

I'm considering spending money on a second attorney to ask him if my current attorney is saying the truth or not

Have you filed for marriage based before ...if you have then there is no need for your lawyer to file another i485..I want to ask you a question,how long did it take you to receive the receipt for the i360 you filed and was the receipt sent to you and your lawyers address??

Well I've never received the receipt at my home address, my lawyer claims that my 2 receipts (i 360 and i 785 form receipts) plus her 2 copies arrived to her office and they don't know why. Is that weird? I don't get why I didn't get my copies in my address and I don't know how long it took for them to receive them since I don't know when they sent them? Why do you ask this?

There is no problem about the receipt that went to your lawyers address..I don’t think you gonna get any receipt ...everything is going to your lawyer cause your lawyer is representing you though sometimes they send to you and your lawyer maybe it’s different cause it’s a vawa case ...so do not be bothered about that you are on the right part ..so come back to your i485..if you have filed one i485 and it’s in pending you don’t need to file another one..were you called for interview on your first i485 that your wife filed for you and lastly when did you file i360 and when did you get your notice of action

So my wife got arrested for domestic abuse, a couple months after our separation she removed every single form related to adjustment of status based on marriage and that includes the i 485 so no, there's no pending i 485 because my wife dropped everything and my first and only EAD became invalid, so there's need for a new i 485 right?

 

The receipt notice says that the received dates are

 

i 360 - 02/26/2019

 

i 765 - 02/26/2019

How did your ead becomes invalid or you just assume ?? You can still use that i485 if she didn’t withdraw her petition for you ...I don’t think your ead is invalid did you try to work with it and they told you that

She withdrew everything and the uscis sent me a letter saying that my EAD was now invalid

Congrats on receipt of approval notice!🌟🌟✨✨✨💐 please how long after card was mailed to you notification did you get the approval notice? My card was mailed out on the 1st Apr. Just want to have an idea of the time frame.

My EAD under Vawa (c31) has been mailed out. Wouldn't that suffice? Anytime the c9 category comes through..it's all good too..
