Say your story as it is, when I was writing mine I was talking to God as my papa as I put it in writing yes it took me a month crying while telling my papa in written. And trust me they will read it as it is. I believe writing as a novel is better than and flowing! That's my thinking 🤔🤔. When you are telling someone something let them not guess what next write it as it.

Thank you and that's what i thought at first..i don't just want to go into the abuse events. I was married for three years and thus i would like to talk about what made her become who she was today cause she was very sweet from the beginning.  And at the same time am trying not to exceed more than 15 pages. Thank you once again.

Good evening beautiful people. I just started writing self affidavit, i started in a chronological order ,using the month and date as a header for each events that happened in my marriage from how i met my wife, proposal and marriage etc. Am i doing the right thing keeping it in a chronological order OR i should just write it in a straight forward format with dates and time. cause right now i feel am telling a lot of stories and i believe the adjudicating officer has no time to read stories.

Well I don't think there's any one way to write affidavit...everyone's writing style is different! The officer just wants to get the gist of your story to determine credibility and and all that! But you can do the narrative/explanatory essay style..infact however you feel comfy with! You'll be alright!

Congrats on all approvals

this brings hope to all of us stuck in this boat . I know patience is all that we can try to have , however realistically speaking it’s hard . Getting to my point . I was wondering if someone who has a I-130/485/767 filed and is now going to file I-360 can go to school ?

And what status will they be ?

Thinking about it - what status are we really on when a I-130 is filed and the interview has not taken place ?

Or what status are we when a I-360 is filed but waiting to be adjudicated !

When I fill any forms they ask my status !

What status are we ?

If I apply to pursue a masters or a PhD what is my status

Has no one had the same issue ?

These 2 years of waiting - has no one wanted to study ? They ask are you international student or LPR or Citizen

Has no one had any job forms that asked Immigration status ?

No one replied to this post at all !

I thought we are all in the same boat - do we know what our status before the I-360 approval is ?

USCIS has sent me REF after 18 months of  my vawa petition. I attached everything proof of bona fide marriage, joint bank account, joint tax returns, joint insurance and leasing documents, psychiatric evaluation report, police clearance report everything her passport and etc. Now they asked for additional evidence yesterday. i havent received an RFE yet as they sent it yesterday. do you think i can get it by tomorrow? or what i missed?

Remember a couple of us here or more have told you to relax..it can be anything...until you get it we wouldn't know what they are requesting..I understand your anxiety but it will do you a lot of good to calm down..if for nothing..health wise! You can get it in as early as 2 to 3 days! It's even possible you get it before then..as they may have sent it earlier and just notifying you now. You'll be fine!☺

Sorry sweetheart..no one is ignoring you..just careful not to supply wrong answers or simply do not know..but from the options given..you clearly are not a citizen yet or lpr..so it has to be international/ out of state as they told me when I enquired...I hope this helps somehow.☺

I guess its pending not very sure someone with knowledge will answer, am afraid to register for school before I get my i485 adjudicated due to the same, I went to apply and they were asking for the same so I had to take a break. But I hope we get someone knowledgeable on the same for advice, for us not to be getting in trouble

It's always adviced to walk the officer through the whole narrative step by step..starting at the beginning! Discuss how you met..where you met..what made you fall in love..how long you dated before nuptials..places you used to go..how you proposed...mutual interests..generally life prior marriage and post marriage..at what point yout spouse became a terrorist..etc!☺ bare it all!

Maybe not, People in this situation dont always have luxury to think about school, and those in school struggle as well. Wanting to do something and actually being able to get going are two different things... please be more sensitive going forward.

You can go to school regardless of your status, as long as you shell out the $$$$

Were you a student at a university before this? Have you reached out to the admissions office at the school? Remember, you have applied for 360, you are not undocumented... you have no reason to be scared of asking university/student affairs/admission office.

Everyone's situation is unique, general status is "in process of obtaining immigration benefits", broadly speaking.

good luck.
