Do you mean..working without EAD? If your answer is yes, it doesn't sound like the proper thing to do @sandranj please advice thanks. I'm aware some folks get the 180days extension, if that applies to you then you should be fine! 👍😊

There is no waiver available for breaking the immigration law AFTER filing VAWA/AOS regarding working without EAD.They forgive those who worked without EAD,before VAWA, and even those who entered without inspection but once the person files VAWA the exemption doesn’t apply and there is no waiver available for this ok.

When you sent the renewal did you get your 180 days extension??? If your EAD is expired and you did not renewal EAD on time to get the 180days extension is not advise for your to continue working until your received your EAD.

im a vawa applicant having my status pending i have received my work permit which expired, i got a 180 days extension, which now iscoming to an end. 

 

I heard there is a stamp that you can obtain once the extension is close to expiry

 

is that possible for vawa applicants?

Hi everyone!!! First at all... this blog is amazing and I am so glad I found it, this is a huge help and support!!!

it’s been a long journey and finally I got my I-360 approved last week and the week before my EAD c31... I cannot stop thinking and this is giving me anxiety, because I do not know what’s  next step???

I filed my I-485 back in june 2016 and officer put it  on hold when during my interview I showed him my VAWA receipt notice. (I-360 November 2017)

now I am a little worried about AOS because it has my ex address (because we filed it under a I-130) 

Two questions:

where should I submit the change of address? Vermont or where my I-485 was filed?

what is it the next step after you get the vawa approval?

Hi good to have you here as well!😊 We're basically at the same stage..please be sure to submit your change of address at the Vermont center! Also next step after vawa approval is wait for your aos interview! Basically your file will be shipped back to the local office..so sit tight and lose the anxiety! You'll be fine..when in doubt read previous threads..hopefully it will renew your hope and faith! 👍😊

This stamp was done 10 years ago for EAD, by some local offices Not anymore... Some officer only Stamps I-551 Green card stamps if you need an emergency travel and Green card is not on hand yet...

You should contact your congressman office to inquired about your EAD.

Pls how long does Ead take? My pd is Jan 29th 2019.its over 4months now .Pls anyone around Jan that has received Ead?

My wife of 3 years just filed for divorce. She has sent me the letter but I’ve not picked it up yet from the post office it was sent as a certified mail. If I decide not to sign the papers does it affect me if I file for vawa ? Am I suppose to be the one to file for divorce under abuse? Since she filed for divorce first is that a problem? 

 

When am am I officially divorced is it when I sign the papers it is finalized?

I will answer you with my understanding,  have you already filed for vawa? Has is been adjudicated yet? If yes or not to my questions you do not have to worry. You can always get started with vawa even after divorce though its within the 2 years after divorce.  Hoping that you already submitted your application you can go ahead and divorce.
