Hello everyone!

My I-485 was approved same day as my interview!! I wish everyone good luck and don’t worry nothing was ever updated on my online account since vawa approval. I didn’t even get an update stating that my interview was scheduled. So make sure wherever you are getting your mail is valid. I also didn’t get the letter for the interview until 2 weeks before the date. Here is my timeline

03-2017 - i360, i485 filed

06-2018 - i360 approved

08-2018 - 1485 transferred to local office

05-2019 - interview, approval

My FO was the nicest lady, I wish everyone gets her as their officer as well. The interview took about 15 minutes, went through the application, had me sign then she says she will follow up with her supervisor and she will try to get it done by the end of the day. 4:30pm I got an update on my I-485 that a new card was being produced.

I wish everyone good luck and don’t dwell on those online updates, yours is coming!

Congratulations! May God bless your life in US

Hey there congrats on your greencard and progress generally. Happy for you!😀 I believe everything is fine as you already got your greencard..perhaps that's why there's been no further need for Vermont to send any mail..you will probably only get letters from them if there's a need.( looking unlikely). Godbless more blessings!

Thank you so much. This is so helpful. I was worried.

Hello all you beautiful people!

So my application packet was delivered to Vermont this past Friday, approximately how long should I expect it to take my receipt to arrive?

Online case status from previous marriage-based I-485 is still showing "case ready to be scheduled for interview" as of this morning.

I feel very mixed feelings, all the hopes and dreams I had before they were all smashed by the abuse...

I want to get divorce started ASAP,  but I am scared to face my spouse... but that is a bridge we cross when we get there... one step at a time 💆‍♀️

Did you tell them at the local office to hold your i485 until vawa is decided? If not pls do so! Also Vermont will send the receipt when they will..but usually any where from 2 to 6weeks...some folks get theirs with the prima facie determination..others don't..some comes later..but I got my receipt with the prima facie determination. I know you been through a lot..but be strong 💪 don't let nothing or nobody steal your dreams! By God they will all be fulfilled..not one will be left out..remember when the wrong ones leave your life, they make room for better people and things! Trust God, back it by prayer while you wait! Patience is key in this here journey! We're all here for you.

@Stillwinning!!!😊  xoxo you are just amazing! so positive! Thank you for the quick reply!

I believe my lawyer would have done it. That was the first thing he said when I went for my initial consultation. He told me (correctly) that if I was ready to file and my spouse has not already retracted the I-130,  he would use/transfer my pending I-485  so that I don't have to pay fees again. I will e--mail him anyway just to make sure!

I know the long journey ahead, I may be down but I am not defeated... get up, shake it off and keep moving forward!

Patience was not a virtue of mine, but last decade has taught me a lot of it....now, it seems like... you know how you make pottery, the mud had to go through so much and just when it seems like it is over, the pot is put under fire. It sucks for the mud, it may break, or burn or it is under fire that the mud truly realizes its beauty and grace... rooting for the later of course. :)

I am gonna write this in my journal...

5-14 days at the most, you will go to biometrics in 30-45 days then just silent for 12-18 months until you get RFE or Vawa Approval.

Good Luck! Best!

That's the spirit I wanted to see shining through! About the mud(clay or kaolin) going through a kiln where it is fired for production ...etc..LOL..I know all about that..my first degree was in Art! I majored in graphics though! But I had to go through all the aspects of Art..so yeah sculpture was a part too! The point? That which doesn't kill you, can only make you stronger! So relax Gods got this! 👍😊
