Sharing my experience with the immigration doctor yesterday:

It was the same doctor I went before when I filled 130/485. I had a copy of my old 693 with my vaccines records, and I did the tests through  my health insurance one week before to cut some costs. It worked out. I paid $180 and left with my sealed envelope for 693.

The tests I did:

urine and blood (TB, syphillis, gonorrhea). It was not easy to get my tests results from the health insurance. One has to allow time. They make it difficult, because the results of those test are confidential.

I didn’t have same experience, Dr wants me to do a booster of a lot of my vaccines that I did and STD’s  exams and colon/breast/papsmear which I did on 2016-2018... I thought I was going to walk with my envelope sealed in hand but I have to come back with test results and vaccines. I use my medical insurance, I paid $20dls only.

I’m sorry about your experience. It seems like the doctor you went is very strict. And unfortunately, he has the right to be. You might want to wait for your interview letter. *Not sure* that a 683 signed more than 60 days from interview date is valid.

You could yelp civil Surgeons in your area, and read from other people’s experience. If you don’t want to take all those vaccine boost (I wouldn’t), you might be able to find a doctor who is not so strict.

I can understand that. My question is if I lose the existing I-485 and I have applied VAWA. Will my co sponsor be liable for my any actions? My cosponsor wants to know about it. I am confused.

NO the previous co-sponsor (and original sponsor- your spouse) ARE NOT bound by the 864 that was already submitted. Technically they would not have even been bound by it until your GC based on the marriage was approved. You are no longer filing for a GC based on marriage. You are filing for a GC based on VAWA.  You fill out an 864W for that. That means there is no sponsor.

If for any reason..including that your spouse withdraws the i485 your cosponsor won't be liable for any reason at all! So set your mind and their mind at rest! But if you're still anxious about it, you can wait for other responses, or send the attorney here a message..sandra!

Even if you ex- or Uscis revoked the previous I485, it doesn’t matter because you are under Vawa now.

I don’t think you need a sponsor with Vawa application.

Hi everyone,

I am about to renew my work permit EAD. Should I write a cover letter describing what I have included in my application package or is not a must? Need your opinion please

Goodmorning. Although I didn't write a cover letter..but I don't think your intent hurts! Nobody is going to return or deny your application just because you wrote a cover letter! If anything it even helps the officer keep count of your documents! Just my opinion!😊

Thank you for your reply. I think so too, by explaining what I included in my package will help the officer to know what is in there easily. Thanks

Another interesting find in my case regarding the EAD. I see that my attorney filed I-765 under c31 category and I received the 765 receipt with C09 category listed. Anyone have this scenario or know what it means???

He filed category C9. USCIS does not change the  category the person applied at all.

Your co sponsor is not liable for anything.Vawa petitioners are exempt to file affidavit of support .Do not file another l485  if your l485 is pending .
