Cam I submit mental evaluations from a psychologist and also submit counseling reports (at least 5 sessions) from another psychologist  to USCIS ?

The first psychologist offer offer weekly counseling and evaluations. Her counseling is 200 dollar for each session and 1,000 dollars for her evaluations. I want to just go for her evaluations which is 1,000 dollars.

While the second psychologist offer offer only counseling which is 65 dollars per sessions. And she advices I attend at least 5 sessions for her to make a report to send to my attorney.

Can i I send reports of evaluations and counseling from two different psychologists to USCIS for my vawa application?

Am new here and I just started opening up about my issues. I’ve been closed minded about it cause I didn’t want people making fun of me that my wife beats me. Thank you to Sandra and those who have messaged me privately trying to help and offer assistance.

USCIS says am in line for a second interview (stoke) soon. Has anyone successfully been approved for VAWA after they were invited for a second AOS interview when their wife didn’t show up?

My wife is not showing up for the second she already told me that. I begged her for the first even did things I can’t write about here for her to show up for the first one. I guess her body language didn’t go well for the first interview thus we are being placed for a second interview.

Thank you once again people.

Sandra is still in the best position to help you here..You are just now mentioning about a pending AOS gone almost bad..stokes doesn't sound too good even though some people make it through..anyway you should really discuss with sandra and get valuable and free legal advice! For the other matter you mentioned about counselling..it's kind of disconcerting..in the sense that..one person counsels..and another evaluates. Why not get something where you one qualified person does the counseling and consequently evaluating? It's part of the procedure..they see you, hear you, evaluate, diagnose- treat (psychological ly) and recommend! I don't see it as something to be disected amongst therapist...I don't know if it was you Sandra recommended a therapist to..but you can get good referrals depending on your state/location. I know how disturbing this situation can be..but gradually you'll be fine.

Hi @sparrowxxx419

I did what you’re planning to do and got approved all the same.

my counseling sessions were done from a community center that offered sliding fee discounts for counseling and therapy($25 per session since I didn’t have insurance),

and my evaluation was done by a psychologist who specializes in immigration evaluations. That evaluation cost me $1000 and they offered me the installment plan payment.

My community health center counselor who specializes in DV counseling, wrote a letter for me which I showed the immigration psychologist as well. She mentioned in the evaluation that I’m attending counseling sessions from there. I also sent that letter with my VAWA package. That worked for me.

I hope this helps.

Wow that’s exactly what I want to do but I may just get both counseling and evaluations from one counselor.

Am in the same situation now. I don’t even know when that stoke is coming. Did you file your Vawa when you went alone for your second interview? What did you tell the officer?

When I went I had not filed but I told the officer that my husband was abusive, the officer was very kind and actually told me that he is gonna deny my application and I will be given  30 days to leave. But I should not leave and I should file for vawa, which I filed the same evening
