Thanks for your words. I don’t know when it got to the local office I never received anything after haws approval. The website says about 18 months but I feel like a lot of people get the interview notice around 8

Ok..so when you say alot of people get the interview around 8months did you mean people who live in NYC? Because It's according to your local office most of the times! Also didn't USCIS update your status to case was transferred to another office after vawa approval? 😕

@FridayGirl@69 yeah Cheer up. Let me share what I am going through if it helps. It has been 2 and half years since I saw my lovely kids, my ex husband took them back home. His plan was to bring them back to US when I went there. He wants to make sure how I loose my kids until they are 18 because all of them are a US citizen. He digs every way to hurt me physically, mentally, financially, socially. . .bribed my employees back home to put me on a tax fraud (God canceled it miraculously). . . Name it. On top of everything  I don't have a work permit. I said I'm unemployed until now. We have been married for 7 years never filled a  single form. Now I'm like what now devil? bring it and I'll pass it on Jesus. I still  keep my hopes high. Everything is under the control of the Almighty God. Btw don't get me wrong I love my kids. I know I'm a super mom. . .But I believe and seeing that God is their father and protector. Now, I sleep like a baby, I swear. My families & friends wants to spend time with me because they feel my inner peace. It is all by the grace of God. Stay positive, worry less, give every worry and burden to Jesus and wait, thats what I360 teaches:whistle: patience, prayer and the answer is on the way:dance: Gory to Jesus!

I am sorry to hear all the struggles, I just don’t understand where all the “supposed love, care, respect, promise to God and family,etc...”from our ex-abusers go...

they become evil when some of us didn’t even see it coming, mine was just sudden without warning ⚠️ I believe we were a loving couple for 9 years when just all changed abruptly 😣

but as you said we have to stay strong and keep

going!!!

I really hope and pray for you to see your kids pronto!!!

I admire your strength and positivism 🙌🏼

I feel I am running out of patience, I am

still waiting after 7 months for my interview.

God Bless You and Your Kids 😘

So I just checked today with my attorney and they said they changed my address online. Im going to the office next week to send a letter to Vermont to change it. I was approved in october 2018 and live in NYC I just hope I haven’t missed any mail. It’s frustrating. Is there any way to find out if the interview was scheduled besides the online case status?

I am October 29/2018 Approval still waiting on Chicago Local Office.

I hear someone from July 2018 approval just got interview set here in Chicago so I had seen a thread of 10 months average to get Interview but it ranges from 6-12 months 10 being the average.

No updates on my online account neither, after 4 months and 13 days 3/13/2018 I got my Courtesy Letter.

Patiently input 🙌🏼🇺🇸💫

Other ways to find out if interview was scheduled may be through infopass, or enlist the help of your representative to enquire on your behalf. They get back to these people real fast...sometimes I hear back with a few days..no more than a week! If this bothers you then set things in motion first thing next week..do any of the above or both! 👍

You should also schedule an infopass. During the appointment, you can make sure your address was changed, and inquire about the interview.

I changed my home address, but kept my attorney’s office as my mailing address. I received an interview letter, but my online status has not changed.

Hello everyone, I've been reading your posts and it helps a lot in dealing with my anxiety and sadness. I need your opinion please. My mom had a mini stroke two weeks ago and I was extremely worried as she had to have medications for treatment and health maintenance back in my home country. Also, I wanted to help out financially even if I can't go home to see her which makes me extremely desperate to seek for solutions. I have asked my lawyer before about my case that an employer wanted to hire me and is willing to send me a job offer letter but I was turned down by my lawyer. According to him, my EAD should come in summer soon and that expediting doesn't really do anything to my case. Now that my mom had the stroke, I am desperate and sad that I couldn't do anything to help her esp with her treatment and medications. Will her medical problem help in expediting my case to receive the EAD? Please help me, I need all your experiences and suggestions.

Hi very sorry to hear this..wow! Just wondering why your lawyer is discouraging you in every way..most people here have been able to expedite with a job offer! If you can't trust your lawyer or do not have much faith in him or her..simply turn to your congress person for help and explain your situation..and also bring to their attention your mother's condition and job offer if you can back it with documents it will help! Did you explain to your lawyer how desperate your situation is..especially your mother's condition? He must not know what he's doing or have a conscience! For now you can ask to borrow some money from close friends if you really want to contribute to your mum's medical expenses..then you can always pay back later because for sure your ead will be approved! Just a matter of time following due process but in your case you can expedite! Try out the options above...hopefully we get more helpful contributions. Please do be easy on yourself..it's not every situation that is under our control! Sometimes I feel helpless too in other regards..just hand it all to God in prayers! I wish your mum speedy recovery and I sincerely hope your situation is addressed timely as well. Godbless!

If I were you, I would start drafting the letter to your Congressman tonight. Tomorrow you should call the office, get all the forms and fill them out. Explain how you need to start working and you even have a job offer. Send all the info/paperwork to your Congressman. Write a good and concise letter. It does help. I went this route, and I’ve read so many people did the same and it worked. Good luck!!! You are not alone.
