One of the advantages of VAWA is that  “covers” certain grounds of inadmissibility one of them is unlawful entry, worked without authorization and fallen out lawful status, and Public Charge also we don't need an affidavit of support.

For Vawa petitioners  waiver apply for more serious grounds like criminal grounds, visa fraud, public health etc...

My Lawyer explain all these too me, because was so worried...

Also VAWA help with order of removal but this have to be terminated before your go to AOS interview otherwise will be arrested.

Thank you

https://www.uscis.gov/greencard/medical-exam-find-a-doctor

It should not be more than $500

some Dr accept Medical Insurance.

it takes average 3-8 months to get Interview from the time of your Vawa Approval but it could be longer... I am still waiting after almost 7 months, I got CL on 3/13/2019 but some I had seen after CL might be 5-7 more months all depends your Local Office.

Call several Dr until you find a more affordable one. I am Chicago based. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, my vawa got approved in december but i filed i485 separately i file i485 on march 5th 2019 and i have my case transferred twice in the last couple months

Hi everyone,

My status recently updated to card is being produced and I received a work permit under c31. I was elated thinking that my VAWA was approved and that the next step is the G.C interview. Am I wrong?

A paralegal told me that being approved for a work permit does not mean that VAWA was approved. I sent my docs Sept. '17 and it's been almost two years.

Based on what I was told, VAWA is still pending and getting an EAD under VAWA means nothing (approval) basically?

Yes! Your Vawa was approved!!! 🥳 Congratulations 🍾 this is the most difficult step so you are on your way to be done with this proces. Now Courtesy Letter and Interview Notice, it takes about 4-8 months average sometimes longer to get your Interview Date set.

Paralegal and Lawyers need to educated themselves more on VAWA .... Actually EAD category C31 means your  I-360 base on VAWA IS  APPROVE They only issue this EAD once a case is approved. After the EAD is received you suppose to received your approval notice receipt as well, some people have to request it. But for sure is approved.

Thanks for your reply. I did not get an approval letter. How do I request it?

Are you sure this means approval?

Hi congratulations your vawa has been approved! I can confirm that because I have an approved vawa and had the same process! The day my card went into production as confirmed by an enquiry by my senator is same day USCIS said my case was approved! So yes this statement is based on empirical evidence!  The next step is definitely greencard interview like I'm waiting for now! Welcome onboard!🌟🌟🌋🇺🇸👑

You must request online or your lawyer can do that too!

I got the card April 10th. But no notice of action citing approval.

You can raise a request online Non-Deliver notice:   https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn
