I’ve read on previous threads that it is waived with Vawa approval. It was not advisable to travel with 131. But please, wait to hear from Sandra. Things are changing way too fast at USCIS.

@Dharmaraj correct! If you fall into that category do not fly out  of the Country until you get you GC.

Read below the AP Document says it very clear!

Hi Guys,

i have approved vawa and my green card interview is coming Thursday May 9th . I have quick question if anybody can help me that would be good. I entered without inspection so do i need any kinda waiver for that in order to attend the interview? Please help me out .

One of the advantages of VAWA is that  “covers” certain grounds of inadmissibility one of them is unlawful entry, worked without authorization and fallen out lawful status, and Public Charge also we don't need an affidavit of support.

For Vawa petitioners  waiver apply for more serious grounds like criminal grounds, visa fraud, public health etc...

My Lawyer explain all these too me, because was so worried...

Also VAWA help with order of removal but this have to be terminated before your go to AOS interview otherwise will be arrested.

The good news regarding unlawful presence, however, is that the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) ruled in Matter of Arrabally and Yerrabelly, 25 I&N Dec. 771 (BIA 2012), that people with a pending permanent residency application who leave the U.S. with advance parole do not trigger the three– and ten-year unlawful presence bars. USCIS has agreed to follow the BIA’s decision. year 2012.....   Now if you have others type of problems, Criminal records, Deportation orders, Is not advice for your to use I-131 AP to reenter... and is also on the discretion of the CPB officer to denied a reenter for some other reason. I have traveled several time, no criminal record on my end and have no  problem.

@Dharmaraj you've had different views, opinions and suggestions. Get a legal view from an attorney to be tripple sure before making that trip! Or best wait to get your greencard if the purpose of the trip is not URGENT! @FridayGirl@69 I'm sure the reason you're holding off your trip is to be on the safe side (waiting to ger your greencard)...I would suggest same for our sister too..but if it's urgent, do get a legal opinion before making the trip so as not to thwart all this effort you've put in so far!!! 👍

Totally! I asked 4 different lawyers including mine, they all said the same : if it is urgent go but not advised to travel abroad, the new government administration gave a lot of power to BPO. I will agree to wait for GC in hand, we are so close that is t worth it! I made my peace with  my Mom, she agreed too!

Courtesy Letter :

An initial review of evidence submitted with your application to register permanent residence or adjust status determined that form i-693, report of medical examination and vaccination record, has not been submitted or has been ubmitted.

You must bring this in a further notice at the time of your interview.

NOt every body gets it (no idea why) but some we do then we get interview notice.

I goy my courtesy letter yesterday, they are asking for medical examination, when should i expect interview after the courtesy letter ?

also i have tried to call few docotors and the examination was like 600-1000$ anyone know a cheaper place?

Awesome and well spoken! Truth is the most reliable thing to do is wait for the greencard! Different day, different mood, different officials..you just don't know who or what you're going to encounter! It's not worth throwing all the pains of long wait, efforts and sleepless nights for anything! For me I see the greencard as a traffic light..if the light ain't green; you move at your own expense! Funny but true!

Is the price increasing by the year or what? Wow! I remember the last time I did the medicals I paid about $200 so now it has become a big deal? Hmmm! Or is it based on the location and practice? I hope I don't pay that much when I have to do it again! Congrats on your courtesy letter receipt! I'm in N.Y. though.

Congratulations!!!

https://www.uscis.gov/greencard/medical-exam-find-a-doctor

It should not be more than $500

some Dr accept Medical Insurance.

it takes average 3-8 months to get Interview from the time of your Vawa Approval but it could be longer... I am still waiting after almost 7 months, I got CL on 3/13/2019 but some I had seen after CL might be 5-7 more months all depends your Local Office.

Call several Dr until you find a more affordable one. I am Chicago based. I hope this helps.
