You don’t need to have one necessarily from NY, you can do all online but Sandra her might be able to help to find a good lawyer.

Ok so this clearly indicates that not only is your i485 on hold pending adjucation of your i360, it's been transferred to Vermont. It's progress..with a little patience you'll get your desired result! It's all a process. Goodluck!

26 Jun 2017 applied i360

2nd Oct vawa approved

15th of Oct notice of approval.

 23 of Nov  2018 applied I 485, i765 i131

8 of Jan i485 transferred to a different office

16 of Jan update on i485(they do not have any status update on my case)

15 Feb approved combo card

Since then silence

Got it! You are waiting, as I could EAD we have to wait 5-10 months to get I485 adjudicated.

If your I-485 is placed on hold, will it say transferred to another juridiction? I filed my vawa 5 months ago, I had my interview 2 months ago where the officer agreed to put my I485 on hold. I know my I130 denial update is separate from my I485. My attorney says last she checked my I485 is onhold until vawa so I can renew my EAD. I just don't know, I don't want to call USCIS and cause problems. I just want to know should I see the same updates people are seeing that their I485 has been transferred? If officer says they'll place your I485 onhold, will you see any updates after 60 days or not. This process is stressful, I was confident and calm until reading other posts where it says their I485 has been transferred but I don't have such status. My I485 still says scheduled for interview. My I130 denial update came in after pending since last year and after my interview when I told officer I filed VAWA.

I think so and I just pray I get good result and a better ending on my case ..can’t just wait to be free..the stress is too much ..I don’t just wanna think about the stress so I take it as a normal way of life ..lord please shower your mercy on me and everybody needing help

Guys, I have big news!

I went to Texas last week. It worried me a bit to fly there, as it is not a sanctuary state. I was in the middle of the concert of one of my favorite artists, Zach Williams, thanking God for everything He has been doing in my life. Then I see on my phone screen a call from my immigration lawyer. I got so worried, for a minute I thought it was bad news, but I answered the call. I could barely hear anything, but it was amazing news! My interview has been scheduled for May 31. I broke in tears, it was completely surreal! I still can’t believe the way I got the news. God is truly amazing. I’m in cloud 9 ✨🙏🏼

Dec 2016 I-130, I-485, I-765

June 2017 Vawa

Ago 2017 re applied for I-485 (previously filed was denied due to abuser withdrawal)

Nov 2018 Vawa approval, local office received the file update (all in the same day)

Dec 2018 courtesy letter

May 2- interview scheduled for May 31. 

 

Odd facts:

On my Vawa approval, it lists the date of my denied 485 (Dec 2016).

My local office is one of the slowest in the country- 19-21 months wait.
