Good afternoon guys,

I am desperate for any help or feedback for my current situation...

I'm an August 2017 filer. USCIS sent an RFE on Jan 26, 2019 that "could not be delivered by USPS" I sent the letter requesting USCIS to send it again and I also contacted my congress woman in Feb without an answer.

Now I received it today only to find out this RFE expired April 26 😱Can somebody tell me what to in this case? This is a good moral character RFE and they want a letter from the country I resided in so it will take me at least 1 week to gather all police clearance letters from the countries and states I've lived in.

Thanks for reading, any help would enormously appreciated. 🙏

I think you should call ur Congress man or woman to explain ur situation and ask him to call USCIS is give u 2week to Respond to ur RFE..Also ask @sandraj to advice you more.... pls hurry up and get this done.. God see u tru ijn...

Hello everybody!

This forum has given me so much strength when I was down in the dumps and did not know what to do to get out of my abusive marriage. This forum educated me about VAWA and enabled me to get my life back! I almost all of the last 5 threads in entirety, It was a lot at times but now I can advocate for myself and not just blindly follow any attorney (mine is great but still, one is the best advocate one can have!). @Stillwinning!!!😊, congrats on your recent good news! I was so happy to see it!

I am worried about RFEs... they sound scary 😕

Putting out good vibes and hope to get them back ten fold!

May we all find the strength to take our lives back and come back stronger than ever !

Cheers!

I want to ask a question..can someone file tax return even after your current EAD expires and you are still allowed to work at your company prolly because they didn’t know that it has expired..I’m asking for a friend ..his ead has expired and he has been working for a year now with expired EAD,the company she is working for don’t know that it has expired and his adjustment of status has been withdrawn by her spouse ..I want to ask if she can file for her tax return despite the fact that her ead has expired

Tax returns is a must that's a very different branch of the government,  it is mandatory nothing more nothing less, tell them to file it's something that one is required to do ever end of the year.

Just a quick question to those who got their interviews, what time do one start counting the time after your i485 is transferred to your local office or when it hits Vermont for those who applied after vawa approval?

My status had the last transfer in Jan and from 16th Jan it says they can not give me any information on my case , my local office estimates is 7 months to 17.5 months, so I guess I will just wait

But her EAD is no longer even valid but she keeps working where she works cause her employer likes her work so they Dnt bother to ask her for another ead when the one she’s using expired...so can she still file tax return with expired ead and a denied i485 ..she can’t renew that ead again cause it has been denied ..so did you say she’s can file her tax returns

I went for my i485 interview without my wife to explain what I went through in my marriage if she could help me hold the i485 but she said she’s gonna deny ..I begged her but she insisted that she will deny it ..and when I got home I saw no one appear for interview on my status ,then second day I saw request for initial evidence..I wasn’t even expecting anything again cause she said she will deny it since my wife wasn’t there with me ..then I responded the rfe and they didn’t updated my status that they have received it ..anytime I call Uscis they refuse to give me information on my i485 to see if they have received the rfe..I sent another rfe again on 31st of April...and on the 1st of May they said they transferred my case to another office for jurisdiction..what could this mean ..though they have sent letter to back it up ,I’m yet to receive it ...and can I renew my work permit with this showing on my status

As a matter of fact I would be so happy if I can just get my green card so I can be free and so whatever I want with my life ..
