Good afternoon visajourney family, i just want to share this about my EAD. My initial EAD was gotten from my i 485 my husband filed for me. My case was denied bc my husband refused to go for the interview and EAD renewal based on the case was also denied. I filed  360, a new i485 and a new EAD in match 2018, through my lawyer, everything was sent to Vernon.  In July i realised that my lawyer file EAD with the C31 category, after reading from this Forum i let him know that he should have file the C9 category instead, he immediately corrected it by filing a new EAD and he instead sent it to NBC, i became worried bc i knew he was suppose to send it to Vernon. In August i got an approval of my EAD from MV. I still have the EAD valid till Aungust 13 2019.  I was about to fill a form to apply for renewal and yesterday i got a mail from NBC that my EAD has been approved and it is valid till April 2020 c9 category. Now i became confused, why is it coming from NBC when my case is at Vernon, any body had such experience before.

Congrats your EAD came through regardless of where it emerged from! C31 is issued only upon approval of Vawa case! I believe your i485 hasn't been transferred to Vermont perhaps that's why NBC is still in charge or still has jurisdiction over it. Either that or USCIS does pretty much what they want dear! In all congrats is in order!

Hey, everyone! I seem to be going mental here since my VAWA application but then I see people who filed since 2017 receiving RFEs 👀

here is my timeline so far

I360, 765 and I485 filed together. Received January 2019

Fees waived January 2019

Biometrics February 2019

March 2019 received Prima Facie

my current work authorization is expiring soon, everytime I check online there is no update. Only says Fees Waived. I was happy things moved so quickly at first but now I’m just a nervous wreck wondering and every day feels like a month.

Patience is key dear..no need to get scared..not everyone is getting RFEs..only when required. Some get approved faster than others..depends on the complexity of your case or the pace of the officer working on it. Relax God is in control!🙏

Hi,

I had traveled to my country twice with my AP and everything was ok.

I’m planning to go again next month but I just realized that this time I have a RFE (which will be responded before I travel). Do you guys know if having a RFE could make me have problems to get back to the USA?

thank you

Best settle your RFE before taking off..just my advice. It maybe nothing.

@sandranj OR anyone, I had my interview on April 13th at Chicago field office, and the lady who interviewed me said she will review my case. till now I have not heard anything or update online.

NB:

1. My priority date from approved i130 and i485 is May 11th.

2. I am yet to divorced

I am just confused and not happy. I will value any advice or words.

Hey relax..it sometimes takes that long..I've read somewhere here sandra said about two of her clients is taking about 7months to approve their greencard or so..but my point is that it's not unusual dear. By God's grace you will be approved!
