Welcome to the boat! Vawa takes average 14-20 months up to 33 months to longest to get approved if your are lucky you will get Prima Face, after 3-5 months you will get the EAD until Vawa gets approve then it will be another 4-8 months to get your interview set. Once Vawa gets approve you will get the your EAD valid for 1 year until you go to interview until your other I765 gets approve. Average timeline is 24 months from the time your start to finish with your GC but it could take up to 33 months.

Just be patiently waiting, USCIS doesn’t give up dates until your application is either approve or you get an RFE.

Thanks hun. Hopefully all goes well. I was happy to get prima facie but still nervous as helll

Good afternoon visajourney family, i just want to share this about my EAD. My initial EAD was gotten from my i 485 my husband filed for me. My case was denied bc my husband refused to go for the interview and EAD renewal based on the case was also denied. I filed  360, a new i485 and a new EAD in match 2018, through my lawyer, everything was sent to Vernon.  In July i realised that my lawyer file EAD with the C31 category, after reading from this Forum i let him know that he should have file the C9 category instead, he immediately corrected it by filing a new EAD and he instead sent it to NBC, i became worried bc i knew he was suppose to send it to Vernon. In August i got an approval of my EAD from MV. I still have the EAD valid till Aungust 13 2019.  I was about to fill a form to apply for renewal and yesterday i got a mail from NBC that my EAD has been approved and it is valid till April 2020 c9 category. Now i became confused, why is it coming from NBC when my case is at Vernon, any body had such experience before.

You mentioned your lawyer send it to NBC. The center is sent is the center the makes the approval unless your case is transfer to another office for processing.

I have a question, I just received a denial update on my I130 after being told they put my I485 onhold for my I360. Have anyone experienced that?

I-130 is filed to establish that a valid relationship exist between a USC or LPR  in our case is the first phase for an Spouse petition.

You cannot convert an I-130 to I-360 (the conversion only happens if the petitioner died and the beneficiary became a Widow than will be automatically converted and proof have to be submit like a death certificate, this happen to a friend of mine) but for VAWA petitions you can just transfer or use the priority date, Your I-485 is not base on you I-130 anymore because the family relationship  does not exist anymore , you will move forward I-485 now with Vawa, but please make sure your I-485 is not denied, and is really on hold. Contact USCIS to verify and keep checking I-485 online status.

No worries, most importantly you are in the process already, You got PF so just wait for your EAD make sure you renew it 3 months before it expires if you don’t hear anything about your Vawa. All takes time, I just read 1 person to get it within 9 months.

Be patiently waiting 🙌🏼💫

Thank you. I checked with attorney and she said my I485 is still pending. My status still shows interview scheduled. The officer told us months ago that they were placing it on hold. I’m praying it’s still the case.

Than have peace, if is still is you will be able to renew your EAD this is also prove that is still pending.  I-130 is just family base is not relevant anymore I360 is self petition (your own petition) as a battered Spouse totally different.

@sandranj OR anyone, I had my interview on April 13th at Chicago field office, and the lady who interviewed me said she will review my case. till now I have not heard anything or update online.

NB:

1. My priority date from approved i130 and i485 is May 11th.

2. I am yet to divorced

I am just confused and not happy. I will value any advice or words.

Finally I see someone from Chicago that went to Interview.

I read 2-3 followers here that went to Interview saying the same, after I think almost 23 weeks or 2 months got the GC so I don’t think you should worry, it will come and remember uscis has up to 180 days to send it to you as I read previously. I am waiting for my Interview Noticed. What was your timeline if you don’t mind me asking? Cheers! All is good!

Hi Family,

I have a question regarding i485 field office.

If my state has more than one field office and both have varying wait times, with the farther office having shorter times, can we request NBC to forward our AOS file to that office with shorter wait time and less work load?

@sandranj and anyone with helpful info. Pls advise accordingly. Thanks

I don’t think you can requested, it is whatever is closer and has available times for the interview.

Hi guys, did anyone have this status for their I-360 "Correspondence Was Received And USCIS Is Reviewing It". I never received a RFE and did not send anything to them. It appeared the same day when my EAD was approved. Thanks for your comments in advance!
