Hey, everyone! I seem to be going mental here since my VAWA application but then I see people who filed since 2017 receiving RFEs 👀

here is my timeline so far

I360, 765 and I485 filed together. Received January 2019

Fees waived January 2019

Biometrics February 2019

March 2019 received Prima Facie

my current work authorization is expiring soon, everytime I check online there is no update. Only says Fees Waived. I was happy things moved so quickly at first but now I’m just a nervous wreck wondering and every day feels like a month.

Welcome to the boat! Vawa takes average 14-20 months up to 33 months to longest to get approved if your are lucky you will get Prima Face, after 3-5 months you will get the EAD until Vawa gets approve then it will be another 4-8 months to get your interview set. Once Vawa gets approve you will get the your EAD valid for 1 year until you go to interview until your other I765 gets approve. Average timeline is 24 months from the time your start to finish with your GC but it could take up to 33 months.

Just be patiently waiting, USCIS doesn’t give up dates until your application is either approve or you get an RFE.

Did you request an infopass to get information about your case? ... it is unusual this long, did you get an RFE? or just all silent?

Hello to you all, Happy new month!

I filled I-360 on November 2017 and got a mail today to submit RFE of Good moral character.

My question is 1- My embassy couldn't provide this service here and I couldn't go and bring that from back home. from your experience do you have an idea how to make this work?

2- affidavit of good moral character I submitted 3 affidavits from families and friends & church letter for good moral character and personal affidavit. What else shall I write as personal affidavit?

How long does it take to get approval of the I360 after i submit the RFE?

Thanks and God bless you!

 @sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊

its the duty of whoever is translating to notarize..or so it should be!

The above can be interpreted in a couple of ways.  Just to be clear:  if the translator is also a notary, he/she shouldn't notarize his/her own signature.  A notary also shouldn't whip out his/her certification stamper and stamp a plain translation directly.  (Notaries notarize signatures, not documents.)

The good news is that the translator can write a statement about the translation, sign that statement in the presence of a notary, attach the statement to the translation, and return the papers to the client -- this might be what the quoted passage above is referring to.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Good afternoon visajourney family, i just want to share this about my EAD. My initial EAD was gotten from my i 485 my husband filed for me. My case was denied bc my husband refused to go for the interview and EAD renewal based on the case was also denied. I filed  360, a new i485 and a new EAD in match 2018, through my lawyer, everything was sent to Vernon.  In July i realised that my lawyer file EAD with the C31 category, after reading from this Forum i let him know that he should have file the C9 category instead, he immediately corrected it by filing a new EAD and he instead sent it to NBC, i became worried bc i knew he was suppose to send it to Vernon. In August i got an approval of my EAD from MV. I still have the EAD valid till Aungust 13 2019.  I was about to fill a form to apply for renewal and yesterday i got a mail from NBC that my EAD has been approved and it is valid till April 2020 c9 category. Now i became confused, why is it coming from NBC when my case is at Vernon, any body had such experience before.
