letters from friends, I-751

Wow... haven't been to this forum for almost 2 years now, time is flying...

I am extremely helpful to everybody here, that helped my prepare my package for CR 1 visa.

Now I am so stressed again with preparing my I 751 package... I don't have a lot of financial evidence... one bank statement, as I started thinking about all this immigration stuff just recently:-(... But we have leased cars together, medical insurance, cars insurance lots of pictures with us and my husband's three kids... Most of the bills are in his name, is it ok if I just send that, so they would see our address as being the same? We also have membership to the same gym... tax returns ( hopefully soon)... I am planning to send at least 3 letters from friends and about 100 pictures with us and the kids and his ex and our friends, from the last two years.

I have a question, one of my friends father is a US senator, do you think it will help he he would write a letter?

I am so so strssed, I see some people here have so much evidence... it's just that I was just leaving the married life, and not thinking so much about gathering evidence for immigration... So stressfull!!

Anyway, good luck to everybody here, please let me know any suggestions to make my package look better!!! I am supposed to file June 15th.

Is it from a joint account? Can you get a letter from your bank stating how long you have had a joint account together?

we have leased cars together, medical insurance, cars insurance

all good things

at least 3 letters from friends

Make sure they are notarized

We also have membership to the same gym

bout 100 pictures with us and the kids and his ex and our friends, from the last two years.

WAY too many pictures, I would seriously thin these down.

tax returns ( hopefully soon)

call the IRS and get tax transcripts for the years covering your marriage, they'll arrive in abut 2 weeks or so

You've got a good start here, but you need some more to strengthen your case. They are particularly interested in joint assets/liabilities, insurance, tax returns, and birth certificates from any children you and your husband have together. If you are stuck for ideas of good evidence, there are lots of good threads in this forum dealing with this very topic.

copy of baby's hospital certificate

copy of baby's death certificate

copy of rental agreement

copy of car insurance

copy of one recent joint tax form

copy of 401K that states that I am the primary beneficiary

copy of health care statement showing that I am covered under hubby's health care insurance

copy of one recent gas bill

copy of one recent phone bill

copy of one recent cable bill

copy of recent bank statements

copy of paper showing that hubby added me to his bank account

Copy of some bills (Sirius, Netflix etc) with just hubby's name and our address on it

Copy of some bills with just my name on it and our address (recent electric bill etc..)

Some envelopes with both our names and address on them...

We only had the joint account for 2 months, I didn't think I will need any evidence at the end of the two years:-( I am paying my bills and he pays his, so we don't really share finacial responsability.

We share the same family plan for T Mobile. but he just added my line, not my name. I just did things normally, not thinking that i will need to show them to the immigration:-(

Did you show them just recent bills, or did they cover the two years?

Did you have both of your names on gas bills and phone bills, we don't have both of our names on these stuff, he pays them from his business account:-(

How many bank statement did you show them?

Should I make copy of a check that has both of our names on?

Yes you do, just not through a joint account. Show a sample of things you pay for and the payment method, show a sample of things he pays for and the payment method, like the bills he pays for out of his business account.

If you have only had the joint account for a couple of months, show proof of that.

Do you have any mail (other than bills) that comes addressed to both you? that's something else you can add to the list.

I just sent in the most recent bill for each utility.... The phone and gas were in my name but I added hubby's name, the electric company didn't let me add my hubby's name...... and I just included the most recent bank statement.... and the application that we filled out to add me to hubby's account...
