Question about ROC and Extension Letter

Hey! 

 

I have a question about ROC and extension letter. NOA 1 received states " Your conditional resident status is extended for 18 months from the expiration date on your Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card...During this extension, you are authorized to work and travel. This notice, presented with your expired Permanent Resident Card, is evidence of your status and work authorization." 

 

So does the NOA 1 serve as the extension letter? Or is there another document we will receive? If NOA 1 does serve as the extension letter is it okay to use a copy of NOA 1 for traveling internationally or must we carry the original NOA 1 with us?

How long did it take to receive the extension letter after you submitted the I-751 package?  Thanks.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

USCIS received on March 12th; received NOA 1 citing 18-month extension on the 18th.
