Send ur card back and stop saying its ur error. It doesn't matter.  Send it back and blame them. Then request and expedite. If not ur greencard will come with the same error and u will wait again. It is illegal to work with the error card. Personal experience*

They can easily check within the form that error was mine.

Green card will be set on the interview and if it comes mosspelled, officer can over-ride the computer and put right data.

Ok up to you. This happened with my EAD which I was told to return and didn't. When I got my greencard tho I explained what had happened to the interviewing officer the same error came on my greencard. Waiting for my new updated card since Dec. Like I said do what's best for u.

When you went for the green card interview, did you fix the error there ?

The error card was taken on the interview day.

You are talking about the EAD or Green card ?

The EAD is supposed to be taken away since you do not need it after you get the green card.

Lol what?  You are allowed to keep your EAD card. I gave my error EAD card to my GREENCARD interviewing officer because of the ERROR. Which the officer said should have been returned when I realized there was a typographical error.

I was then told the EAD I brought to show them the error would be destroyed and I was assured the same error wouldn't come on my GREENCARD.

My GREENCARD came with the same error. Obviously the officer didn't correct the error.

P.S. your EAD card is yours even when you get your GREENCARD. FYI

You dont need EAD when you have green card since green card voids EAD as green card is a permit for work and residence in the US.FYI.

The thing is that, at the interview, as I've heard, you can ask officer for correction.I don't know why wasn't your corrected, since I've heard they can over-ride the computer.

Hello!

I've read that the CIS pulls out informations for green card based on I765 - EAD form.

I have an issue that my EAD form contains my misspelled letter of the last name.

All other documents have my name right, but what worries me is that , despite that I485 ( AOS ) form is done correctly, I will receive my green card misspelled due to the error I made on I765 form

I also heard that I will be able to get that corrected at the interview since officer is able to override the computer.

Anyone with some info ?

Thanks

When they correct it, is it on the spot or you have to wait to get the corrected card ?

You won't receive the green card until after you do the biometrics and interview.   They can correct it at the biometric appointment.

Do you already have the EAD card? Does it have the correct spelling?

EDIT:  I see you have the EAD.  Just await the gC interview.

Cards are not issued on the spot.

I do have EAD but its misspelled.I've consulted a lawyer and he said that, no matter that I485 form was correct, and every other document, the CIS pulls the information from I765 form to put on the green card and I might get green card misspelled.

Now, I am in a pickle, because I have to return the EAD card, wait another 5 months to get it, since it was my fault.I will also, most likely, get the SSN misspelled as well and I can't change it until EAD gets done.

I am not allowed to work until then which makes me suffer additional financial losses.I've read that I SHOULD NOT use the combo card I got, and SSN, when I get it, containing wrong information.

On top of that, I am more likely to have green card interview scheduled before I get the EAD back, which will make EAD unimportant and waste of time to renew and, possibly, pay the fee.

It does matter who's fault it is: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria. Nothing mentions applicant error - only USCIS error.

Blaming them when it's not their fault isn't going to get anywhere.
