Moved threads in the UK forum

You know what really makes me sick about all of this is that there are some really good moderators here at VJ that are getting planted with the bad seeds .. shoot, 2 of them even posted to this thread before I did (even though I didn't agree with 1 of the 2 that suggested to "shut down these damn regional forums entirely" comment .. I still RESPECT her opinion on the subject) .. it is the other moderators that need to go "out with the bathwater" not the regional forums ..

Oddly enough, after wading through all these pages, I had to go back to the main forum page to try to find the Embassy Forum that everyone here is talking about. Then I remembered why I never go in there. If the Regional Forum was removed and I had to wade through all the threads which were totally unrelated to Canada in the Embassy Forum I would definitely feel the need to visit other visa sites looking for country-specific information.

I spend my time in the Regional Forum because that is where all the information pertaining to my own particular circumstances is. The greater majority of the threads in there have *everything* to do with immigration, with a few odd, Canada-related, off-topic threads thrown in for variety.

Not all VJ members were here when the site first began and are able to follow original logic for how the additional forums were set up. *Tons* of members have english as a second language so have that challenge as a barrier also. If I can't deal with the non country-specific Embassy Forum, imagine how they feel?

Just my thoughts on this. I always hate to post my thoughts because of all the anger, rudeness, and insentivity on this site. But I am always optimistic that cooler and logical heads will prevail.

Country Boy. Please do not single out any of the Organizers please. THey all do try hard and there diversity is useful as it does bring some differences in perspective that not everyone agrees with. I have seen a lot of people disagree with me and in the end that is great since it gives me some feedback . In any case if anything is for sure it is that I can and should re circulate the moving guide to refresh people. In a thread is moved that you disagree within simply PM me and if I agree I can unmove it and notate it not to be moved again. There is no need to single out a mover publically if you disagree.

I guess the best way to view it is that they are all volunteers and that there is nothing asked other that when someone has the time that they kick in. Some people may be more active than others and that is totally ok .

I see your point. Can I say this? Because I did experience sifting needed information from the Consular Forum, I can testify that it wasn't hard at all.

There were UK threads, Canada threads, Philipine threads.....it really wasn't hard. Some were lengthy like the K1 monthly tracker threads. People made friends - they stuck together and helped one another out. At the same time, you had a feel for other things 'around the globe'.

I kinda liked it and it really wasn't all that bad.

Daisy, you're maintaining it's a difference in the times. Fair enough. Would you be willing to give weight to the opinion of those who have seen the information stored both ways that maybe the old way worked better?

I agree, for the most part with this statement .. and about the moving guide being refreshed, I totally agree as long as they actually read it and consider its content BEFORE moving posts

Search the internet .. it won't take much doing. This is the general consensus of individuals that are changing forums .. the "anger, rudeness, and insensitivity" issues are being brought forward by former members that are actually posting at other forums. I have read more than one time that these members NEVER posted at VJ just for those reasons... you can use the keywords rude and mean as well when searching to yield more results...
