Hi, I am a DoD civilian a need to provide evidence of my income for the CR1 visa I am sponsoring.

It says here that I must submit the following:

"For those who are employed by an individual or company, submit a photocopy of an employment letter, pay stub, or pay advance (direct-deposit receipt) that meets the criteria below:

  • Includes your name and the company’s name;
  • Is on signed, business letterhead (you cannot sign the letter yourself); and
  • Is issued within the last three months."

I have the auto-generated employment verification letter from MyBiz but it is not signed by anyone. Who should I have sign this?

Also, none of my LESs are signed by anyone since they are from MyPay and I'm paid by direct deposit. Has anyone had an issue with submitting their LESs?

I used the "Verification of Pay" letter which I printed from the MYPAY site.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Unfortunately, the only verification of pay letter I can find is for retirees.

You do not have access to DFAS at all as a DOD Civilian? How do you get your LES?

It says here that I must submit the following:

If you completed Form I-864, I-864A, or I-864EZ and the income reported on this form or your tax transcript reflects income below the poverty guidelines for the year the form was submitted, submit evidence of your income. This can include the following documents:

It goes on to list what you quoted.  Is your income below the poverty limit?

Also, if I were you I'd follow instructions on the USCIS website, not the State Dept.
