Hi All...this forum rocks and i just have a little question about hair growth....

Since i've started the Visa Application i've lost alot of hair and was wondering if there are any products that u can recommend to grow it all back!

Thankssssssssss

Andy

it's normal when dealing with uscis and dos - you pull your hair out. steven, of steven and jinky, used to have a full head of hair when he started the visa process :D

I tried rogaine for women on my head after they shaved it. It grew in pretty quickly, but I stopped using it because of some warning I read about it causing heart attacks or something.

The hair growth continued at the same rate after I stopped...dunno if that's just cos of my hair, or because of the rogaine.

If it's stress related as you say, then I would reccommend some meditation or some relaxation hypnosis cds. Stress is awful on the body, and hair falling out is just one manifestation of it.

Good luck!

I agree with the pulling your hair out cause of this process  But in all seriousness, you could also have a thyroid condition. You might want to consider having routine blood work. Just a thought :)

Many things can cause hair loss. I'd check with your doctor for a work up first. But this process is stressful. That alone can cause hair loss. Try getting a bottle of Biotin and a B complex vitamin. Make sure to eat healthy and plenty of protien. Scalp message also has been known to help. It gets the blood ciculation going in the scalp and that will encourage hair growth. I have had these things work as I had thinning hair. Mine is perimenopause. Try going to www.womentowomen.com they have a fantastic vitamin supplement that works wonders. Good luck

My fiance in Brazil is losing alot of her hair too. She has alot to begin with and most people dont notice but when recently visited I think she lost 25% of it and hair was all over the place. She still has tons of hair but she is distraught and for sure its the stress related to this stupid k1 process.

June 8 they revieved it

June 18 '07 check cashed got WAC#

No NOA1, touches, or progress given

NOA2 approved Oct 17

NOA2 card copy in mail Oct 20 (Surprise to us)

Package sent from USCIS to NVC Nov 7. (called USCIS to get this)

Nov 15, I got email at 6:57pm that our package was sent to Rio from NVC.

DON"T WAIT FOR THEM TO SEND ANYTHING, CALL AND MAKE SURE THEY GOT IT.

IF THEY DO, GO AHEAD AND SEND IN ds230,ds2001, the pics, and copy of passport

USE SEDEX AND GET THE TRACKING NUMBER.

Interview Set: Jan 29. Found this out on the embassy website under VISA's. It shows a list of visa types including K1 and shows the interview dates.

Visa granted but they mailed it using their own package delivery service. Took a week. Have money when you go to the appointment. They may also make you go and get more photos taken if they dont like the pics you bring. Just relax and dress wark because they keep the place really cold. Make sure your financials mmet the criteria or they will eat you alive.

MARRIED March 22. Sent in $1,010 in fees to Chicago to get change of status, apply for advanced parole, and ability to work documentation. Things work faster now.

May 22'08: Biometrics appointment in Santa Barbara.
