I'm really worried.. I will have my medical exam on st.lukes next week and I'm freaking worried because I have a suicidal scar on my wrist.. it's nothing serious though.. i did it when i was in high school it was just a "trip" when it happened..

Anyone here have the same issue? What did you do? Did you tell the truth or just hide it?

Everyone I know that was in the same situation got a letter from their doctor stating they are OK now and not a threat to themselves or others. With that note, you will pass the medical fine. Without the note there is a possibility your case could be delayed.

I have scars everywhere, wrist, arm, chin, cheek - some over 40 years old ( have started with dirt bikes as a little girl) . I don’t have any doctors documentation as that has happened really a long ago as well as my 2 leg operations.

I believe they will not make a huge problem from that as I am far from suicidal or dangerous person.

It wasn't self harm so you don't need to provide a doctor's note.

SLEC will likely require a psychological evaluation. Just answer the questions and it shouldn't be an issue.

Do NOT try to hide anything, and never, ever lie to anybody with immigration (including a panel physician) - that's a permanent bar on any visa.

Also these people are trained to be able to tell the difference between self harm scars and scars from accidents etc.

Well some of my scars  are on places where they might think I have done that , so if they would make me problems according to their assumptions, that would be really unfair. The fact that I had kinda dangerous hobby as very young doesn’t make me a dangerous person ( I live very healthy life  ). I just hope that doctors are normal persons who understand that we had life before have come to them .

How long it will take to get a psychological evaluation? can it be done on the 2nd day of medical exam or I have to schedule for psycological evaluation?

Can I tell them that it's a long time ago wound because I scratch it using my finger nails then until it started to cut and become wounded.. because that's basically what happened and I'm not suicidal..lol.. coz I don't want them to think that I did it because I planned to suicide or whatever..because I wasn't..

They will likely ask about it. You can explain it to them at that point. What they decide to do next (nothing or refer to a psychologist) is a decision they will make.

Get a doctor's note explaining the scar. Then have the doctor put is not a threat to self or others. You'll avoid a psychological evaluation with a note.

That's commonly the case with Knightbridge. SLEC generally looks at the scar(s) and responses to questions. A doctor's note is not generally considered (FWIW, you can get a doctor to write basically anything in PH if you have money).

Just be honest about it. I have very a large scar on my arm from a reconstructive surgery, I explained what this was from and they were fine with it. I know it's not the same thing, but honesty is key. From the sounds of things you wont need to get a letter from a doctor, you will just need to be upfront and honest with the panel physician. They will either send you for a psychological evaluation (which is not bad, it's so you can prove that you are well) or they will be fine with it because it was long ago and wont need to send you for the evaluation.

I haven't seen a single person be denied their visa because of previous mental health problems where they weren't a harm to anyone else.
