AP is quite normal, longer AP where you are  is not uncommon.

I would have thought a Tourist Visa is unlikely, can she not visit, when was the last time you met?

When you think of it must be extremely difficult for them to do checks, I have no idea how it happens, do not think anybody does.

Sort of surprised with that history you got past the interview stage but with so little information there may be factors I am unaware of.

I Appreciate You For Your Reply. I am Just Worry That My Ap Should Not Go For 4 Or 5 Year

Recently I Read Some Thread About Some People Cases. They Are likely In Ap For 3 5 years.

Some Time I Feels it Will Go Lifetime. Never Finish Becuase Embassy Stop My Case Last Update Date.

The Embassy does not handle AP,  other bodies are involved.

Assuming this is the usual background checks, Embassy checks are much quicker.

@Haseeb alam hopefully you'll get the visa soon, as long as all your paperwork is in order. Did you and your wife actually knew the joint sponsor? Was their income good enough to support you and your wife plus their own dependants (because apparently your wife's income was below the 125% poverty guideline)  and that's why you needed the co-sponsor right? Also, you must keep checking your inbox/spam, ceac etc.. to see if there has been any update and try contacting nvc if its over a year.

I will be waiting for your response

A fellow Karachi guy here, I got married to a American girl to , give my interview on 12th December 2018 , and since than I am in AP , we even Contacted the Senator of the state my wife lives in, and Embassy response was almost the same, They review our case and its in AP and until its done they can not give any end date . It is a very horrible ,Painful and stressing waiting time which certain individuals have to suffer, 2 of my cousins get married and apply for Visa after me , and they both get their Visa's while I am still waiting .
