Good morning everyone! How long does it normally take to get your passport back following the interview? I'm having some trouble figuring out when to book my interview for because of some potential holiday plans and family events. Any advice is welcome!

Personally, I got mine back after exactly 1 week. They say it takes roughly 2 weeks in general and most people seem to get theirs in this period. However, I have seen some get stuck for months and I know that almost everyone will advise you to not book anything until you get it back.

That's great thank you! I know it would be wise not to book anything, I'm just trying to assess my options and make a decision as to whether to go or not!

Hey, I was wondering the same. The interviewer said "You should receive your visa within 1-2 weeks, well probably 1 week."  I've got 2 months until my estimated departure date (11th May) so fingers crossed.

As people have and will say, I'd advise against booking anything until you have it in your hand.

I had my interview on Monday 11th March and she told me it would take 7-10 days for me to get my passport back, but i think on their website they say it can take up to 21 days ( im guessing they are just covering all bases here )

The London website says:

Your passport will be returned to you by the Embassy approved courier service.  To ensure that there are no delays with the delivery, you must register with courier at the time you schedule the appointment for the visa interview.

If you were advised on the day of your interview that your application is successful, you should allow approximately 7 to 10 working days for your application to be processed.

If additional information or documentation was required in your case, you must allow additional time.

All times are given for guidance only as processing varies in every case. We cannot guarantee that a visa will be issued by a specific date, so please do not make final travel plans, or give up employment or accommodation, until you have received your passport containing a valid visa.

Just like everyone else has said, under two weeks is standard for London but you could be unlucky like us and end up at 120 days in AP with no updates whatsoever.
