Hello guys,

I know this is somewhere around here but I’ve been doing some reading and I am little bit confused at this point.

We we got our NOA2 February 13.

Now we want to start gathering all the documents beforehand. We’ve called NVC twice and in this second time lady was a little bit more polite than the previous and we have been told that it would probably take us about 3 and a half months for it to leave the NVC and get sent to the consulate. Nothing we can do rigth? And this is just her forecast anyways.

But... we would like to start gathering everything.

the medical exam has to be done after we having the interview date?

Can I colecte my police record now? - knowing that it’s only going to cover this period of time - not that I am planing on committing any crimes but still... will they accept it at the embassy?

thanks!

I believe that you interview in the US Embassy in Paris, France. Is that correct?

I don't believe it currently takes 3 and a half months. It should be up to 6 weeks for the NVC to receive your case, and about 3-4 week of processing time at the NVC according to VisaJourney processing times.

But you are right. Nothing you can do at this time. You want to call the NVC once it a while until you have the confirmation that your case was received, and obtain your case number.

You can get your police record now. I did; the police record is good for 6 months. I wanted to get it out of the way (you never know if your case will be one of the ones that beat all the trends and gets to the consulate/embassy quickly.

You will have to wait until you have your case number and interview date to schedule your medical exam.

Hello again,

I didn't want to start a new post because it's related to this one.

We finally got a case and receipt number from NVC.

Can I start filling the DS-160 now for you should I wait to hear from the Embassy?

Thanks
