Administrative Processing covers all activities necessary to complete processing after the interview. This can include simple paperwork and internal processes, the printing of the visa, etc. It can also be waiting for additional documentation in some cases, waiting for background checks to complete, verification of documents, etc.

Thank you for the additional information!! I am hoping this process goes by quickly. I will provide any updates I hear back.

I would also expect they are looking at the 'for immigration benefit' aspect.

Wow! Lucky you!! 5 updates... I have not received any updates since the date of interview.

It is unfortunate that you have received the DS-5535 form... I heard that it adds MORE time to the already excruciating process. :(

I have already sent an inquiry, however, I have not heard any updates.

Any updates, lately?

Hope you’ll hear something soon.

Our case last updated on 21 March still in Ap.

But I am confused previously passport tracking through ustraveldocs was showing ‘’passport is still with US consulate’’ now since Friday it is

‘’document delivery information<blank>‘’

When I mail at passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com

I get this reply‘’There is no status update available for the passport number submitted.’’

I can’t understand what’s going on?

Had anyone gone through this??

No updates so frustrated... This is very alarming, our lives are on hold and we have no say in any of this matter..

Yes, of course! It could be a number of reasons. I do not blame them or believe they are doing this on purpose (or have bad intentions.)

After all, they are just doing their job.

This waiting around to start our lives is what is getting tougher each minute.

Wow! This is not fair. What date did you go into AP?

I wish I could help you, but I am hoping they reach back to you soon. 🙏

I can totally understand your frustrations.

All we can do right now is wait.

Be patient, my friend. You have to stay strong for your spouse and yourself.

Have you guys already reached out to your local senator/ congressman/ congresswoman?

Officer told me other document submit into drop box

I told him I have all documents but they haven't seen any document

Not sure I understand - did the 221G include a list of required documents that they want?  And if so, have you submitted them?

Yes in 221g they  listed required documents

Okay.  And so you've sent/uploaded them, and you are now waiting to hear back?   That is normal, and no one can really predict how long that process (AP) takes.  Best wishes!

But why officer  haven't seen any document

They not listen anything

There really is no way to know whether they have seen the updated documents or not.  Even if they have, it could take awhile to reach a decision.
