This has got to be the longest freakin' countdown thread ever :blink: Whatever happened to counting down at like 48 hrs or something? :help:

I'm with ya there.

Noura, when are we having a countdown for the next time you clean your house?

Ya know, this was meant to be a light-hearted place for Julianna to post her experience as she waits for her husband to come to America. Since she is a blogger and likes to write, I thought this would be a good place for her to talk about her preparations. For the most part, we were all enjoying the pleasant banter.

Why would it matter how many hours it started at? Where did 48 come from? There can be threads about movies and blue boxes with hearts, and we can't countdown to someones arrival?

Please, post your best wishes to Julianna in pm because I don't want this thread to continue.

Jackie

Are you sure you're not picking a fight Noura? Because it was just a joke. Maybe jokes are not allowed? Must I be proper at all times? I guess so.

To assume I'm picking a fight would be assuming I give a chit abt all this - which, frankly, I don't.... so don't flatter yourself in thinking I would bother picking a fight. Just flapping my jaws, so to speak... that *is* still allowed, I presume, b/c you seem to do plenty of it yourself. Blogs make for interesting reads into people's lives.... The things people put out on the net is astounding to me! :o

Jackie

perhaps this "pleasant banter" is about getting more little hearts in these stupid blue boxes...

why so serious, jackie???? 48 is a number i pulled outta my azz... was there a special reason you chose 279?

banter, banter, banter.... isn't this pleasant?

Thanks Noura, but as I am sure you already read in my post to you, I don't write much about my personal life, only heres and theres. Why, exactly, you decided to pick on me-- I'll never know, or like you said, never care. If you think my whole life revolves around some sticks and carpet shampooing, then what does that say? It says you have no idea who I am, you do not care to find out, but you are just into judging me. I have never said one thing to you until you started on me. I never thought anything of you other than as a fellow VJ-er. I don't understand the need to kick people. If you don't like people's blogs, then it doesn't make sense to go to them. It's just a waste of time.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

J, if you think I'm judging you, you're paranoid.... you're writing abt sticks and carpet shampooing, I'm having a little fun nitpicking what people say... tell me - what's the difference, eh? not a damn thing. CHILL!

Noura then I apoligize. I've gotten a lot of flack today on my blog from VJ goers much in the same vein, only more direct, to the "talk" here. I mean if people are so pissed my husband belongs to a tribe, wake up! That's North Jordan for you! And if you're going to question my relationship to my parents, my husband, my family, my religion, my husband's religion, etc., or any of that pick a better day than today. I eman do I need to justify my past infertility issues? And justify my excitement over stuff? My blog was created for one reason, which was to keep my family informed of my stuff so I didn't have to write 10 of the same emails. I can only take so many things at once, and that whole personal life I like to not talk about? Yeah, it's having some personal problems and not related to my husband more than him having his own which are not related to me since people are so keen to pick on that. It involves me trying to talk about normal and boring things to not think about issues I have at the moment about not being able to make it to the hospital I want to be at to see someone. Not that anyone cares. Heck, maybe it's a good time to go. At any rate, obviously this thread is obviously NOT WANTED and so? hopefully it will be closed.

I thank everyone for their well-wishes. Obviously some people know where to find me (and then leave me awesomely bad comments. Thanks!) Good luck for everyone on their VJ. I thank you all for all the help and support you gave me-- it really meant a lot.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.
