Hi Everyone!

Looking forward to joining you all in this game of patience.

My wife (US Citizen) and I live in Canada as we got married in 2017 and she had moved to join me here up North. I've gone through this process on the Canadian side when we applied to have her become a Canadian PR. Now we're thinking of moving to the States so through the process we go again.

Timeline:

March 26 - Mailed I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

March 30 - Ready for pickup at PO Box

I'm slightly concerned as I realized after we mailed our application that I had forgotten to write down our names on the back of the passport photos. I understand that I was not required to provide my passport photo as I (the applicant) am currently not in the United States but I felt that it couldn't hurt to provide it anyway. I also included a photocopy of both our passports - it's pretty obvious to see who's photo is on the 2x2 but wondering if they'll provide us any trouble with that.

There’s actually 4 types of I-797, since you being from California i wondered if we got the same.

Heres a link that explains all 4 types.

https://citizenpath.com/form-i-797-notice-action/

I received the I-797C in the mail last Thursday.  The preference classification is "201 B INA SPOUSE OF USC", which I understand means that there is an immigration visa available to my husband, and we just have to go through the petition process and consular processing.

I got an updated I-130 approval estimate from the timeline system:  November 10, 2019.  It's a bit disheartening, since I was hoping to be well into consular processing by that point.  Fingers crossed it goes much faster.

Our ROC story so far...
1/3/2022: I-751 sent via USPS Priority Mail; delivered to Phoenix Lockbox 1/5
1/6/2022: CC processed for filing and biometric fees
1/7/2022: Received receipt # via text
1/15/2022:  Received NOA and 24-month extension letter
1/22/2022:  Received biometrics appointment letter
2/8/2022:  Biometrics appointment
10/2/2023:  SURPRISE!  We received the I-751 approval letter and 10-year green card without an interview.

Awesome, same exact thing I received.

The timeline system at VJ? Mine is October 30th but i don't find this accurate since people are not filling up the timeline correctly. I give it a maybe 60% accuracy. I just hope the Texas Service Center speeds up and get our NOA2 sooner than later. 😂😂😂😂

Hi everyone;

joining up so I can better keep an eye on whats going on with March filers!

  • 03/16/2019 Petition sent
  • 03/29/2019 NOA 1 (via text message; still haven't gotten the physical letter)
  • 04/1/2019 check cashed

Filing for UK beneficiary, and unfortunately stuck with Texas Service Center (I know it isn't as bad as Nebraska but I think these days everyone is praying for Potomac!)

You don't need to create an account, its good to gave so you don't have to keep entering the receipt number every time you want to check status.

Hi everyone!

Another fellow March filler here😁 so glad to have this group.

Married: 06 Mar 19

I-130 sent: 22 Mar 19

Package received: 25 Mar 19

NOA1 received: 28 Mar 19

and I have come to join the count down with everyone....🥰

At the bottom left on my NOA1, it says Texas service centre but my receipt number starts with IOE. I read that this means electronic filing. Is this normal? I tried to track that number on UsCIS but it says case number is not there. Should I look into this?

I’m flying over to see my hubby for Easter holiday and am hopeful I don’t get rejected at the border. I am Belgian, working in London, have properties in Belgium. I do have a history of entering and leaving and can travel with ESTA. Do I really need to get my manager to write a letter? I don’t think she will be too happy knowing I have the intention to leave the job once my visa is approved as she just pushed for my promotion.... Would my holiday calendar showing I’m due back after Easter Monday be sufficient lol?

What do you think are the chances of me getting rejected and heading home? 🥵

The time apart is really hard for both of us as my hubby has been quite ill. He can’t fly much so I am trying to fly to see him every month in New York. Thank god flights are affordable around £250 returns if you buy in advance. My 20 days holiday a year had been divided strategically for him.

I really hope we all get our happy endings soon!

Keep looking forward.

Love from London
