We just called earlier today at 4pm. Gave some info then she puts my husband on hold to check our status. When she spoke again she said it was already approved! Thank God! I cried so hard to hear that news! No updates on websites. She said we should be getting the mail in a few days.

Just tried calling-- the agent I spoke to refused to look at my case specifically because we are still within "normal processing times" like I anticipated. I gave her the receipt number, she looked at our PD, and then regurgitated the processing times from the USCIS website. Said she couldn't check to see what was going on until we were at the end of the website's processing time window

She also said our online status could take up to 45 days to updated after a change in case status, so short or receiving the letter in the mail there is no way of knowing what is going on. It is essentially useless

How did you get an agent to look into your case? According to my agent it's impossible until we are out of "normal processing times"

We said We tried to expedite and got denied last aug19. The other website shows expedite denied but last updated was aug20 and my uscis account shows the usual that they received it and asked which website is more reliable or if somethings wrong or maybe they left our case behind since it was expedite denied. And my husband also mentioned there were filers got approved ahead of us. We prepared our questions and explained in the beginning of the call. After my husband finished talking she put him on hold to check our case. And thank God good news. I’m not sure though if the expedite that was denied somehow helped. 🙏🏼 Hope you get yours soon too.

We are still waiting for the mail and the website doesnt show any updates.

That's helpful! I am going to call again in a few weeks when we are officially in the "8 month" territory. We haven't attempted an expedite so that might be part of the issue? I explained that I knew March and April filers were already approved and wanted to check that our case was still actively being processed and that it hadn't been lost or misplaced. The woman was adamant that she simply could not check our case until we were out of normal processing. I even asked if there was a supervisor I could speak to and she said no. Unlucky I guess. I am just going to have to assume that the website is inaccurate and that our letter is in the mail, otherwise I will start to go crazy!

Hey! Our PD is March 21 so I am planning to also call them, we are currently at 229 days without approval or RFE

Our online status changed to “name was updated” on May 10 and since then no status changes on the website were made. When we first filed application they rejected our G-28 (which is authorization for our lawyer that she could present us) so she sent corrected form right after we received rejection note.

I don’t know if this “name was updated” has to do anything with that, but I will try to use that to see if some officer will look into case since they say that if any status change was made in the last 60 days that means that someone is working on the case actively, but that doesn’t seem to be case with us, otherwise we would get some answer by now.

Can you please tell me how did you get to speak with an officer as my husband only gets automated machine when he calls USCIS?

Yes you could definitely ask about that and ask why the name was updated. Just tell them all your concerns. I actually just found out about that 60day status change later on.

You should choose—-OTHERS—NOT to check the status of your case—because this only will give you automated one from the website

Then,

Services and Information of US Citizen(not sure if i remember it right) Press 5

For Spouse-Press 3

Customer Service Rep -Press 6

just give this a try.

Hoping you will hear your good news soon. 🙏🏼

Does anyone know how long it takes for the NVC to get back to you? Is it usually under 30 days?

Good luck to the rest, hope you all get yours within the next few days!

@Juliet57 does your receipt number happen to start with an IOE?
