Hi everyone,

Just updating those those who wants to

travel to the US.

I entered NYC on 18th April on my existing ESTA just fine. I scanned my passport on the machine and did not get an X and went to the line which gets less scrutiny, I think.

The officer asked me what was my purpose for entering and how long I was staying. I said to visit my husband and I’m staying for 4 days only as due back to work on Tuesday. He was like when was the last time you came and I said March. He said very friendly so if you are travelling every month just make sure the total time you spend in the US doesn’t exceed your time in country of residence and maybe apply for B1/B2 visa if you don’t want to have issues at border. He asked some more questions about  what I do for work and why so many visa and travels on my passport etc but all friendly vibe.

He did not mention anything about my pending I-130.

Do you guys think he could see my I-130 already? As I have just filed March 22nd.

I’m travelling again to nyc in July, wondering if I should get the B1/B2 visa he recommended.

I'm not an expert but why would you need a B1/b2 if you have ESTA 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ it exists for a reason doesn't it?

I do have a B1/B2 but that is the only way I can enter the USA.

Also Ive read on other threads that some people have been denied a visitor visa because of their pending I-130, so you might want to check other threads for ppl in the same situation 🙂

I was reading another forum. I-130 for September 2018 filers. Some people are saying that they have been approved already and they are at Texas Service Center. On the USCIS website it says that they are bearly processing July 2018 priority dates. Who knows maybe they well get to us sooner than we expect:).

I really hope so. 🙏🏼 The sooner the better

I guess the website has just not been updated.

Texas is processing August and September, I keep checking the VJ timeline and you can see April approvals from both Aug & Sep priority dates.

Im expecting at least 6 more months 😪

Btw Potomac has already approved a February 2019 petition, talk about lucky!!

Yeah, ive been stalking some Texas Timelines as well and noticed the recent approvals. Wishing the 6 more months will be faster.

Probably an expedited case for Potomac? Or DCf? If not, then it could be good for everybody..maybe they could help out with other service centers to be faster.

Texas Service Center just moved from July to September.. and processing  time became 6.5-8.5months now on uscis website 🙏🏼 Hope they keep the pace this way or even just a lil bit more faster.

It's not expedite. Potomac is actually processing within 90-120 days.

Im trying to be realistic but part of me is also hoping the process will be faster 😂

Like who knows maybe a lot less people applied in certains months, and the new processing time starting at 6.5 months let's hope it stays that way 👏👏
