Hello everyone.

So yesterday I finally finished uploading all the AOS and civil documents onto CEAC and I submitted everything. A VJ member from Morocco told me her husband had uploaded his passport as proof of US citizenship. Now I didn't think this was required since we already established my citizenship during the USCIS stage but she said it was better to do it again than risk getting a checklist. So I uploaded my passport bio page and my birth certificate.   I logged in again today and noticed by birth certificate was upside down. I'm certain I rotated it so I don't know what happened. Since this isn't necessarily a requirement for NVC, do you think they will give us a checklist or prolong our process for this? I should've just uploaded my passport and left it at that but I was just trying to be proactive and now it might bite me in the a$$.

You can send NVC anything. We sent ITIN, proof of subsequent visits, ongoing chat logs.

It's my understanding (I could be wrong) that they check for completion rather than content. This is why sometimes NVC accepts your 864 for example but the consulate then says you need a co-sponsor

@Apple Bee not sure why you are confused, anything you send to NVC get digitized and sent off to the embassy for review..when I said sideload she added extra things like chats, mortgage deed they have on their international home, chat logs and such all this was sent on to the embassy.

99.9% when they get your file they make a decision right then before the interview, at interview they are you some questions if they are confused about anything.

I understood that, I just didn't know exactly how exactly it pertained to my question but I now understand what you are saying. I did sideload as well with receipts, more pics from our last two visits, boarding passes, screenshots of chats with me and my husband and him and my mom and life insurance and retirement stuff etc etc. I was just worried that this stupid upside down birth certificate might hold everything up.

classic blonde, I didn't finish reading it all.

if it isn't a required document they may not even review it, they only review the ones that are required, I am sorry I have smacked my own forehead on this one
